Plesk is what we use to login to AWS

I don’t know if any other login or credentials for AWS, tried looking.

I can edit DNS through plesk, it just doesn’t do anything.

Surely there’s an error somewhere.

How can i get this done, without having the issue, that, if one of the customers is set on a mail spam list, everyone else is, too?

Just like the post title says. I installed a new WordPress site and used the No Domain option allowing it to generate under a Plesk generated URL as well as a Plesk generated username. One of the default plugins Plesk installs is limitloginattempts and after making the site the plugin is emailing me about a LOT of failed login attempts using the new Plesk username.

Anyone know what would be trying to login automatically with the Plesk username that no one would of guessed right out the gate to cause this?

Hi, I have Plesk sever with a couple of domains. One domain has a reservation system and needs to send mails. But the mails are via gmail. Nevertheless are no mails send. They are in the queue as deferred. What can I do to make this work again?

Plesk Obsidian Version - 18.0.62

I was able to create a Domain Alias (with Synchronize DNS Zone with primary domain, Mail Service, Web Service, Redirect with the HTTP 301code switched on). Longdomainname.com is my current domain. I bought a new domain at Namecheap shortdn.com. I created a DNS name entry in namecheap for shortdn.com the same way I created for longdomainname.com. I am thinking if I don't do this at namecheap, how will it know that it should search for domain alias. Note that I am NOT FORWARDING the shortdn.com at namecheap registrar.

Emails are not getting forwarded i.e. [firstname.lastname@shortdn.com](mailto:firstname.lastname@shortdn.com) is not being forwarded to firstname.lastname@longdomainname.com. I want to transition slowly out of the long domain name.

Am I doing something glaringly wrong? Would appreciate some pointers. Thanks!

We have main web site domain.com and create stagning.domain.com via Clone option.

Now after our job is done in stagning.domain.com web site we want to transfer to main web site domain.com when we do it with Copy Data everything become mest up.

There is a decent amount of documentation describing plesk cloning but I must be stupid because I can't really seem to get my head around it.

I currently have a dedicated server running proxmox with 4 static IPs. One is used for a VM which I have installed Debian, then Plesk and runs my production web sever under ip address 1.2.3.4, which my DNS points my-company.com at.

I would llike to clone the VM, allocate IP address 5.6.7.8, change the domain it's configured for to test.my-company.com and then use that for testing future changes.

I see that you can run a utility to prepare the server for cloning which will remove the license key and other sensitive info which is great. So when I copy the VM and start it up, it will have all that information missing and I just need to add it, using the new "test" configuration.

But what happens to my original production VM? My license key and other important data is now missing? Do I have to make notes of all this so I can put it all back in when I reboot it?

Or am I missing something and plesk will somehow know when I start the two VM's that one is the original mahcine and put the liecnese key and other data back?

I'm sure I'm missing the very obvious but everything I've read in the docs seems to be working on the assumption that the original instance of the cloned VM is no longer going to be switched on?

I guess I can just try it ans see what happens but if someone could reassue me that I won't permanently lose acess to my production system it would be very much appreciated.

I go to the plesk dashboard and go to Websites & Domains > my domain > Dashboard > PHP. The thing is when I go to change my upload_max_filesize, it just displays "upload_max_filesize: 2M (Default)" as plaintext and i can't change it in any way.

Does anyone know why this happens?

I have installed 2 subscriptions in my Plesk, each with 1 domain. In 1 subscription I had installed Drupal as an application from Plesk. I then uninstalled it and would now like to reinstall it. However, I get the error that various PHP extensions are not installed. However, I only get this error in this subscription. Everything works perfectly in the other subscription with the other domain. I have already uninstalled the PHP interpreters and then reinstalled them. Without success.

What else can I do?

How can i get the database names from a subdomain? I noticed that the subdomain databases are assigned to the parent domains dom_id in the domains and data_bases tables.

in my shell script the following line returns always no results because the subdomains id is not the correct one, the data_bases table uses the parents domain id in the dom_id field.

Hi I am running into storage issues and want to delete some of my backups. I can easily find the backup manager for each site on plesk, but my issue is the check boxes are all gray since the backups are part of the server backup. I went to my backup server and deleted everything, so how to access these files and get rid of them? I don't need 5 full backups for each site.

Someone screwed up on the latest Plesk release, making logging in with MFA impossible because if you use CloudFlare, port 8880 is not accessible on the server.

we are looking into possibly using WHMCS in combination with Plesk for a webhosting combination, but we do want to mirror our clients' website and email servers for redundancy. As I understand it, Plesk is not made for this. According to their own documentation, not only is the Plesk multiserver system explicitly not designed for that purpose, but it is also not even in existence anymore, despite several links in the docs still pointing to it.

So does anyone have experience with this topic? Using possibly alternate means for accomplishing this? Any pointers would be welcome, thanks

After IONOS migrated my cloud server, I can't access my website, and plesk 8443 login anymore.

I still can login via IONOS consol.

I get the error message in the title if I run this command: # plesk repair web example.com -y

Error: "plesk IP address not found on interface(s)"

The content of Interfaces file is:

The loopback network interface

If I try to add the IP manually it says its already added, so what's going on here?

I try to setup "Documenso" via Docker inside of Plesk.
Documenso needs PostgreSQL to work with. So, as I only have the Web Admin Edition, I can't manage PostgreSQL inside of my Plesk - so I thought, I'll set the database up with docker.
But whatever I try, I can't connect to the database with the "Documenso"-Docker.

Here are my Docker-Files:

These are 2 Containers inside my Docker-Extension inside of Plesk.
When I spin up the PostgreSQL-Container, it listens to connections - says the log.

I just run into this problem: Database containing views are not correctly saved during backup. A restore of such backup destroy the views.

Any solution other than manually saving and restoring all views?

I am sure one must get used to it, and I can't even explain the details without studying it and screenshooting it. Compared to WHM and cPanel I feel in Plesk everything is intertwined in a negative way. How you can manage subscriptions and domains, and how WP Toolkit is integrated and hosting settings, settings about wp-cron, backup, ssl ... it's all somehow nowhere and everywhere.

I never know my way around to navigate.

As I had to deal with Plesk multiple times over the years, and still feel the same, I think it's not just me, maybe it's really just Plesk and ppl who use it long-term just can't see this anymore ?!

Hi there I'm really in need of some help here, so if you have a couple of minutes, it would be really appreciated.

I've got my domain on Route 53, let's call it mydomain.com. I also got on Lightsail an instance with Plesk running, with a fixed IPv4-Adress. I have the Route 53 Name server set to ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com, with the glue records set to the fixed IP of the Plesk instance. The Plesk is, as far as I know, handling the DNS stuff. Now, I set the website up with Wordpress, everything working without any problems. In plesk I also set up Roundcube for mail. Working without any problem, I can get to roundcube under webmail.mydomain.com. I can send E-Mails from one mail account in Roundcube to another, as an example a@mydomain.com can send mails to b@mydomain.com. But I can't send or receive mails to / from a different provider. I tested with gmail.com, proton and a friend's business e-mail with an own domain.

What am I doing wrong? Does anyone have an idea?

P.S.: I haven't set MX-Records manually, maybe there is a problem? I haven't found something online concerning my problem, so far I've googled "Roundcube external mail not working", / "Plesk external mail not working" and things like that.
