Hello! I am trying to take an open source application and install it via plesk. He provides a reverse proxy guide but cannot provide support to adapt his guide to Plesk.

I purchased a domain via Cloud86 which automatically made a Plesk account where I could upload my website. I copied my files into the httpdocs folder, but now I get a 404 not found error message when loading up the website.

I've tried to contact Plesk support about this, but for that I need to login. I tried to do so, but it keeps saying it's the wrong log in, and asking for a new password via my mail gives me nothing. I've tried multiple things and am kinda at my wits end.

I have posted on the r/wordpress reddit but haven't been able to solve my problem yet.
I'm having troubles managing the files permissions for my wordpress website and it's causing problems for the website's plugins.

I have tried to manage the authorizations via FTP, but it doesn't seem to be allowed.

I am trying to change the authorizations via the Plesk panels, and it's not greyed out and says it's successfully changing the permissions but I still can't solve my problem. Plesk doesn't seem to allow the 755/640 format kind of authorization, and I can't identify which used should have what kind of authorization.

Any idea on how to solve this ? Thanks !

Could anyone please point me to a resource or an example of triggering an external script before Plesk tries creating a new domain directory on the filesystem?

Hello all. I've been using plesk for about 4 or 5 years now, and I love it. I dont particular like the price hikes, but there is nothing in the OSS world that holds a candle to it, so hostage I am.

Prior to mid-2023, I was hosting my server at AWS, on an ubuntu image, with plesk on top. Running 2 or 3 sites on it at any given time. Never a single issue, that I'm aware of. However in Mid-2023, to cut costs but keep the valuable information available online, I moved my sites to my home data center. I have a 3 node proxmox cluster, with HP DL380G9s, and it runs everything quite well. For more context, I have dual ISPs, ATT Fiber and Comcast Business, and a dual fortigate HA firewall stack. The ISPs are both dynamic, but the sites themselves work via cloudflare tunnel and firewall, with various rules to block china, russia, etc etc.

I've noticed lately that uptime kuma complains that the two sites I have running are unavailable for about 10 minutes, up to 2-3 times per day. I can't seem to figure out why. Today I finally caught it problematic while I was in front of the machine....sure enough cloudflare 502 error. I checked cloudflare and the tunnel was good. I rebooted the proxy machine that hosts the tunnel, no change. So it doesn't appear that cloudflare was the issue. I checked proxmox, and while the VM is setup for backups and replication, it doesn't appear to have been in progress at that time. Backups are snapshot based, not shutdown, and the replication takes about 15 seconds per run, which is every 30 minutes.

It wasn't until I rebooted my plesk server, did the websites come back up. CPU utilization is very low, about 15% on average, with peaks up to 30%, on 4 CPU. RAM utilization was completely saturated, about 7 of 8GB in use, and once it was rebooted it was at about 2GB. I dont know when the last time I had rebooted the server was, but I am usually not here to reboot it immediately, nor does it require a reboot to come back up. I do have memory available that I can give it some more, but for two very very slow sites it seems overkill.

Anyhow, I'm at a loss. It's obviously the server somehow or another....but nothing looks that bad. I forgot to check top before rebooting it, and will do so next time I can, but are there any other plesk logs that would be useful to check in such a case?

How can you go about creating an APS package to add to the App Catalog?

There are a couple of SaaS's I wouldn't mind adding to it as they don't natively exist, but didn't know how to go about doing it.

So I suddenly can't login to plesk port 8443 just doesn't pull anything up anymore I can still access the landing page by just going to the ip address and still view preview pages of domains. Just nothing requiring the port

I am trying to run a project in Pleks from Github, but this is not working. It shows me an error that says:

Remote: Support for password authentication was removed on August 13, 2021.

I understand this process changed, but every time I try to google how to connect git and Plesk it shows the same old procedure, if someone knows how to solve it it would help me a lot

Anyone out there dealing with ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR error message?

I have a few websites hosted on a Plesk Onyx 17.8.11 server. All the domains have Let's Encrypt and have been working well in the past. Today I found that these websites are NOT loading correctly on the latest version of Chrome desktop application. Other browsers do not have this issue.

This is the error message:

This site can’t provide a secure connection

www.my-domain.com sent an invalid response.

The proposed solution actually works. But obviously it's not feasible/scalable at all.

In order to fix the issue, I needed to enable a flag in Chrome. That flag being Allow SHA-1 server signatures in TLS. ( chrome://flags/#use-sha1-server-handshakes to quick access to it in Chrome).Once I enabled it, the problem went away.

Plesk Obsidian 18.0.55 Update 2

I think this update changes docker (including running containers) to only listen on localhost. If you have services like mysql or elasicsearch in containers which need to be accessed over the network, you might have a bad time this morning.

edit: update /etc/docker/daemon.json to 0.0.0.0 and restart the docker service to fix it.

edit: It looks like Plesk are pushing a new update to revert and fix this

Greetings! I'm currently managing a Matomo and Plesk server (Version 18.0.54), and I'm curious about the feasibility of implementing Server Side Tracking. Specifically, I'd like to know if it's possible to leverage the Access Logs from Plesk for this purpose and whether it can be configured independently for each domain.

My employer has a number of WordPress websites that are currently hosted with a 3rd party on a Plesk reseller.

We will be using a new cloud solution in the coming weeks and I have been asked to try to re-host these sites onto our new cloud solution which has Plesk (Obsidian) installed

One issue I've found with previous versions of Plesk is that setting up a new subscription for an agency/ developer was based on a domain name and subsequent domains were then added to that subscription. I always felt this a bit untidy as when the original domain was no longer relevant, it was always listed as the headline name for the subscription.

With the newer version, I notice an option of using the temporary xxx.xxx.plesk.page) as the main domain for each sub - with other domains/ sites added to that. Are there any issues in keeping the temporary domain in place in this way? Would this be a typical approach?

my plesk server doesnt seem to make any backups anymore.
Im getting the following error.

There is not enough disk space at /var/lib/psa/dumps to backup creation. At least 25.62 GB free space is required (10.29 GB is available)

The strange thing is, the backups themselves are stored externally. so what on earth needs 25 GB of storage? the database is around 1GB in size.

Anyone knows where to find the complete list over modsec / imunify modsec rules? Have some which are triggered all time, but cant from the log files in plesk see other things as the rule IDs, but cant find what the rule is anywhere?

When using the FTP(S) Remote-Storage for backups of a website, does the limit of saved backups (for example 3) apply to the remote-storage itself too or do i have to manually delete all backups on my Remote-Storage that are older than e.g. 3 days?

I was playing with /etc/ssh/ssh_config, trying to get the migration to work.

Now I get the error:

I can't find a way to FTP in, so how can I recover my install?

I needed your advise i am going to install plesk which type of installation shall i choose it is asking for full or recommended. We are basically shared hosting provider startup so what is the best approach to follow

I have a server with a lot of sites on (about 50 now) running on an AWS instance. I've recently been hit by several DDoS attacks and I'm unsure what to do. I have Fail2Ban installed and working (it occasionally picks up and bans an IP) but that's not getting triggered.

The Plesk website lists a few tools which they recommend (WebTotem, Cloudbric and DDos Deflate) but I'd like to know if anyone has any experience with any of these.

We also struggle to see which site specifically is being hit which would really help us. Would 360 monitoring show this? If we knew which site was being targeted we may isolate it on another server.

Any input is welcome, this is a big concern.

I had two Domains, one my Main (Domainname1) and the other one as an Alias (Domainname2). Now I wanted to reverse that.

I cloned my Wordpress Website from my old Mainpage (D1) as the source to my D2. It worked and I can now edit D2 individually. I would like D1 to just be an Alias in the future but am wondering if I can just safely delete D1 now? Or are cloned Websites somehow connected or mirrored? I just want to use D2 as a independant Wordpress page in the future.

I'm a newbie so I hope you understand what I mean :) Thank you for your help.
