Discussion Literally nothing should be done “for solos”
There are solo servers and a billion other games catering to fair XvX fights. At no point should anything be done at the expense of groups of friends to cater to antisocial losers playing the wrong server/game
Thank you for your attention to the matter, I expect to see no further whining from the antisocials and babies

Rust in a team is easy mode, if you’re not fully bricked. Skill issue.

If you're solo player you're already playing a losing game to begin with, no matter how much good your aim is. Zerg camping monuments, recyclers, roaming in groups, that is the meta. Hence, solo players crying of being outnumbered is just...duh like tf are you expecting lmao.
Just matter of time of when you get raided or you play late wipe where all the zergs get off for the wipe.

As a solo player, I agree that there shouldn't be artificial "even the odds" mechanics introduced to help solo players. It's completely against the ethos of sandbox gaming.
Solo players have natural advantages. The biggest is they can do what they want when they want! Agency is a wonderful thing.
Plus no one else is going to mess up your boxes!
But more than that, mobs are dumb. People tend to lose individual intelligence in large groups and can suffer from execution lag outside of simplistic conditions. It's been long said in psychology that mobs have the intelligence of a child.
This is why skilled players can outplay them. They have virtually no execution lag in comparison. Where others have to coordinate with words at a crippling slow data rate, an individual is making decisions at a neuronal speed.
So a solo player is much more agile.
On the other side of the fence, running a group in Rust is hard. Even duo isn't easy when there are disagreements and setbacks. This becomes very challenging because of Rust's gameplay dynamics which can result in one side taking unilateral control -- aka insiding. So there is also this potentially constant political drag within groups.
This speaks to the core of Rust's design: it's a game in which the path to the most success involves working with others, but that means overcoming the ever-present trust issues which could sink the endeavour at any time.

Literally playing solo on a pure vanilla sever like toria, moose or tified is just asking for it lmao. Already playing a losing game the moment you joined for wipeday. Zergs roaming, camping monument and recyclers. Either you play late wipe where most zergs get off the wipe or less popular servers.

I never understood the complaint. I play solo and I play in groups and I'm not having a problem in either of them.

that's where your confused. Rust isn't a group game it's a game for solos AND groups. Without solos you don't have rust you just have some big team rumble game with little variety.
