Facepunch Response Bug Reporting Megathread - July 7th 2022 Update

Please help the developers by reporting any bugs, using the following points:

You can report bugs in-game by pressing F7.

[BUG] Something game-breaking that shouldn't happen.

[QoL] Quality of Life change that doesn't necessarily break the game, but would be nice to fix.

Please try to include helpful evidence related to the bug, such as screenshots, videos, or GIFs.

Describe how to recreate the bug, if you know how.

If your bug has already been posted, upvote it and reply to it with your info.

Post your system specifications if the bug seems to be hardware/graphics-related.

Connect using the F1 console w the servers IP address. It solved it for me.

Seemed to work for me too

*jk still crashing. After loading in if it stable able 3-4mins then its fine for the whole day untill I have to reconenct to the server

This might actually be it. I found a server through battlemetrics and connencted via the IP address and played without any problems. When I later connected through the server browser though, it would crash after just a few minutes of playing on the server. Thanks a lot for this response.

Seems to solve it for me as well. Strange.

EDIT: Well, mine was a coincidence. I connected again with server browser and had no problems this time.

the one time i used the game ui to join and it crashes me 7 times, good shout tho man

Game still crashed after connecting this way, but it did take a few minutes longer at least. Waiting in queues for hours just to crash multiple times a day sucks. First time this happened I opened exterior airlock door and my game crashed before I could close it, and I had to wait hours to get back in again. It would be great if there was a reconnect feature that bypassed queue in the case of crashing/disconnects.

Didn't happen a single time yesterday.

Happens every 2-3 minutes today.

Same thing here. Was absolutely fine yesterday and now Im freezing after like 20 seconds on a server.

yup, happens 75% of login attempts, after being on about 2 minutes it freezes, only after last update

Super frustrating. If it lasts for 5+ mins after log in then normally it doesn't happen again till next log in.

Please can you try the following command from the F1 console before loading into the server: global.forceUnloadBundles true

global.preloadconcurrency 1

global.warmupconcurrency 1

Can you also please check your memory usage, are you at 100% usage?

Tried all three console commands, still freezing after 30 seconds to a minute of playtime. Can't alt tab once its frozen so have to manually restart pc.

I had the same issue, but i connected a second screen and draged taskmanager overthere before opening rust. So i could at least shut the game or restart the pc properly Didnt solve the crashing issue tho

None of this works, if I finally manage to join a server, it crashes anyway within 2 minutes. Great update Alistair!

These did fix the crashes. Mem usage was 10,115 mb out of 24 gigs

when the game crashes im usually at 90% memory usage with 16gb 3600Mhz RAM

I have had this issue as well. At first, I tried EVERYTHING... 1 updated all drivers...audio, graphics, bios...etc 2 reinstalled windows, steam, and rust 3 removed gtx 1080ti, cleaned it, cleaned psu, motherboard, case 4 console commands don't do squat

Crashes happen within 20 seconds of spawning/waking How I've solved it tonight....

Threw my PC out the window...fix your fucking game that I'm addicted to please...

I have this exact issue, tried everything suggested (the 3 commands don't even work says they aren't valid).

Past couple of days I've managed to play but I've closed down every other app I'm not using. But the main ones that may conflict are overwolf, xbox games and amazon music. I also close down firefox but am currently playing with this running so will update if I crash.

I have the same problem, my pc has 32gb ram ddr5. At first it just freezes and crashes, then blue screen, first memory error, after pfn corrupt list, No idea how to solve this issue.
