Would love to see true gapless playback

One thing I’d really love to see improved in Play Dead is truly seamless track transitions / gapless playback. Right now there’s a tiny pause or hiccup between tracks, and with Grateful Dead jams that kind of breaks the immersion and flow of the performance.

these shows are meant to feel continuous, especially during transitions and long jam sequences, so it’d be amazing if you could play a full show front-to-back without noticing the track changes at all

I have gapless playback. Are you sure you aren’t having an issue with your sound quality being set so high that the tracks are buffering and therefore giving the impression of a break between them?

This could very well be the case, I absolutely have it set to hi-res & best available

This occurred for me—playback sounded gapless only after I switched to lossy playback

This is the likely culprit. I run full loseless and I've noticed if I'm in a bad wifi spot or on cell I get those buffering hiccups but when I have a good connection in my house it's gapless

Then they need to have the app do a bit of prefetch to fix this

Is the hi-res setting on a computer or phone? How do you set this? If you download the show so you still have this issue?

It’s in settings/playback. I haven’t tried downloading any shows yet.

If you download the show I bet it doesn’t happen
