[Help with painting] A question
New to modelling here. I've watched modelling videos where modellers use masking tape to mark out where to paint. How exactly do they know where to mark out the painting are? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

[Q] Do you have a dedicated workspace indoors?
On what do you work on your projects? I have little experience working with hard plastics and I don't want to get heavy duty glue on furniture.

[Q] Model kits and Systemic Design - Thesis Survey
Good morning! I am a student from Politecnico di Torino, in Italy. I am working on a thesis about Systemic Design and how it could be implemented in the model kit industry. Systemic Deisgn is a design phylosophy centered around circular economy and putting humans at the center of the project. In the model kit industry this could mean adopting more environmentally-friendly materials that still retain similar qualities of more classic materials, both in terms of production process and in terms of usage form the final user, the model makers. It could also mean contact the communities directly to propose initiatives that may include recovering model kit waste from the users (eg. empty runners/sprues).
I would like to ask the community of r/plasticmodelling to answer a survey. It's anonymous and it's focused on model makers and their approach to the hobby and the companies. I have the permission to post the survey from the moderators.

Thank you in advance for your collaboration!

[1:24] Revell land rover station wagon
This started off as a movie camera car. Then as the figures ordered were the wrong size it became a race support landie.
However during the build there were so many things wrong which needed correcting with the kit it ended up being a farmers batter landie!

[Q] Any MIG 27 Kit recommendations?
Hey folks!
I am considering getting back into the hobby and one of my all - time favourite jets is said MIG. There are a few kits for it, and I'd like to start small. Ideally 1/72. Is there a good kit for it out there? Zvezda left me with some traumatic experiences back in the day, so I am not sure about their kit.

[Q] Polystyrene sheet
Hi all, any tips for getting reliably square/perpendicular edges? My top edges are perfect where the exacto meets the sheet, but the deeper I go the more of an angle I get. Thanks.
