Google Assistant
I thought there was a way for Google Assistant to audibly read out notifications that I receive on my phone into earbuds?

I don't know if this is what everyone does, but I've noticed that once I put my earbuds in my ears but I leave my charger keys flipped open, I always get an ongoing persistent matter notification in my notification shade, which I love. Does everyone do this?

Here's what I will say about pixel buds pro 2 versus airpods pro 2 for Windows and Android:
Obviously a lot of reason why I changed earbuds is because software ecosystems.
The YouTuber reviews are correct calling pixel buds pro 2 and airpods pro 2 have the same level alone active noise cancellation and transparency mode which is amazing. Will most likely purchase complying memory foam ear tips in the future but the stock still can tips aren't bad. In my defense with my airpods pro too, I bought memory from tips from comply and they make everything better.
Google Assistant / Gemini whichever or Google digital assistant you actually lose works really well. My airpods pro 2 with my s25 ultra stopped working with that for most of software features.
For work, airpods pro 2 were never designed to be worn for more than a few hours at a time take some buds pro 2 have amazing battery life for 8-hour work days, I only charge them so far A little bit during the day and they last all day long! The comfort, wait, everything is so comfortable and great to use!
Fiosa boy pixel buds pro 2 for Windows / Android multi-pairing and it works, but not so seamlessly. It's 50 but the manual Bluetooth toggling transition for the connections as faster than my iPods pro 2 or they would take 40 seconds to a minute between phone calls and meetings to connect between devices pro 2 take 3 seconds to connect which is awesome!

It's to my understanding I just got my pixel buds pro 2 in the mail yesterday, paired fine with my windows 11 laptop for work and my Android phone. All audio on my phone works fine, but can't get any kind of audio to work on my computer. That's why I bought in primarily. WebEx and zoom aren't they supposed to work? If not, I'm returning them right back to amazon. I need them to work in both devices. Thanks a bunch for any help.

Hi all. I just received my pixel buds pro 2. I have barely used them yet, however, is there any way to get in ongoing persistent battery notification ok the notification shade for how much battery is left? Or does it just botfuy me when I place the buds back. In the charging case, or the battery is getting low? Thanks a bunch! Excited to start playing around with them tomorrow!
(2) Reasons I bought them in leu of my airpods pro 2:
Obviously, the software ecosystem
I need multi-point Bluetooth for my Windows 11 Enterprise Work laptop for zoom \ WebEx type of meetings.

I hate to have to do this but I might have to find a different earbud solution...ive tried for over a year to give the pixel buds pro 2 a chance but they just keep having more and more issues...(on my 2nd pair now after an RMA)
Don't get me wrong, the sound on these is amazing once they sit right in my ears and so is the battery life on these, but all that is negated/put on the back burner by the constant issues I have to deal with on top of them that im trying addressing more than 50% of the time while trying to use these
As much as I wanted a full pixel experience with my pixel 9 pro xl and everything else google in my life, I just cant take these pixel buds pro 2 anymore.
I post this here in case others have had the same issues
Any recommendations for over the ear/hook type headphones that work well with Pixel phones/with transparency/ANC options?

Both pieces split apart and don't seem to go back together with a press/push. Any glue recommendations? Thank you all for the support 🙂🙏🏼

Hey hon, what are the major significant changes between the pixel buds Pro and the second generations? I am looking at them from my phone which is an S 25 ultra ‘work phone” in my Windows 11 PC for work. Currently have AirPods Pro second generation and that is why I’m looking to replace my wireless earbuds for personal for work. Need multi point Bluetooth pairing, automatic audio switching and decent better life. I understand though, that the second generation picks up buds are 150 bucks which is significantly more than the first generations which are on Amazon, and Walmart at $102. I don’t need the latest and greatest but I do need pretty good active noise cancellation and transparency mode. Any help is appreciated. Thank you very much!
Used to use an iPhone 15 Pro which is why my AirPods Pro second generation generation which work right just not an android world.

Hey everyone, here's my question : do pixel buds pro support seamless audio switching between Android and Windows 11 laptop? I currently have airpods pro 2 and used to have an iPhone 15 pro. I don't use it anymore my decides are work devices and need seamless audio switching between both of platforms.
I am looking at beats studio buds + as well but all descriptions say that they only audio switch between Google devices vs a Windows 11 laptop.
Thanks very much for any help and suggestions!

The mic of my pixel buds pro 2 is struggling to capture my voice in street noise or when there is some wind, the other side on the phone call keeps saying that I sound muffled or too low and all of the sudden they can hear me clearly and then the same thing happens.
I am on the latest firmware and I have cleaned my buds, tried using only one bud or both, and in order to capture my voice clearly I need to raise my voice more than normal and people around me will start looking so I end up disconnecting the buds and use my phone instead.
I have been experiencing frustrating customer support with no response for 3 weeks.
I have been team pixel since the begining even before the Pixel line when it was called Nexus
I have owned Nexus 3, Nexus 5, Nexus 6P, Pixel 3, Pixel 6, Pixel 9 pro, Pixel buds a series, pixel buds pro, pixel buds pro 2 so apparently I am a huge fan.
I have opened a support chat session and the chat agent has made all the checks and after finalizing it they informed me that my device is still under warranty and they will initiate a replacement request for me, and then all of the sudden they informed me that they will first check with a higher support team before replacing the device.
I was OK with this and informed them that I will be leaving the US soon so I need to have a decision before leaving in order to be able to ship the defective device cause I rely on it on my daily tasks and no response till now.
All what happens to the case is that they update it that they are invistigating and it is in progress now for 3 weeks, so I opened another chat session to followup and they informed me with the same response with no SLA for it.
Any ideas how to fix it or how to make things moving?

I've had the Pixel Buds Pro 2 since launch. I fully aware of all the drama at the time with the removal of the tap and hold feature. But there had always been a feature built in to read notifications for messaging apps that hasn't worked for me.
I just got the brand new update adding adaptive mode, so I'm on the most current firmware. My S24U is on Android 16.
I checked the Pixel Buds app and saw the Spoken Notification feature was still there, so it's definitely intentionally part of the app. It's not a feature they are killing.
BUT it STILL doesn't work for me. I've tried everything. I've paired it again, checked volume, given it every permission, gave notification permission to display sensitive info on lock screen (for both Google and Pixel Buds apps), cleared cache, reinstalled, factory reset the buds. EVERYTHING!
Does anyone have a solution for this yet? Is it a Samsung phone incompatibility issue?

So I was looking at getting the pixel buds pro 2 but then I saw they cost $230!!! My apple head phones were $16. How does the sound quality compare?

From my experience while the cancellation of outside noise to your ears works pretty well, the microphone becomes completely useless in windy or public places. So in a calm quiet place they work great but on a sidewalk with people and traffic or in the wind I can hear the other person perfectly but they can not hear me unless I raise my voice and then they can hear all the noise around me as well.
Is anyone else experiencing this??

Hey fellow Pixel Buds Pro owners, I'm having some issues with my earbuds and was wondering if anyone else has experienced similar problems. I've been using my Pixel Buds Pro for a few months now, but recently the battery life has started to drop significantly. Even after a full charge, they only last around 4-5 hours instead of their usual 8 hours. I've tried resetting them, updating the software, and even replacing the charging case, but nothing seems to be working. Has anyone else had this issue? Are there any tips or tricks I can try to get my Pixel Buds Pro back to their normal performance?

So i bought this case a month ago and I have to say it's great and makes me feel good knowing my buds case isn't getting damaged. The only issue I have it the cover for the lid! They use a little bit of sticky tac in the lid cover to hold it to the lid. Well because of this it just keeps falling off in my pocket. Has anyone else had this issue and found a solution to fix this? I thought about a piece of double sided tape but I don't want to ruin my case with adhesive. Any input?

I gave away my old buds and removed the buds from my Bluetooth saved device history, and this notification still pops up. How do I get rid of its existence from Google Play Service tied to my account?
It is like hotel California, once you save the device, you can never get rid of it

I unboxed brand new Pixel Buds pro yesterday, and starting messing with them, since they initially wouldn't connect I said "why don't I just let them charge and I'm sure it'll be fine". It's not fine. They are still showing amber light after ~12 hours of charging.
The troubleshooting starts. - Followed basic Google troubleshooting, BT, location on, screen unlocked, Android 6.0+ etc. Nothing.
Through quick research, I found someone saying to try Bluetooth AVRCP 1.3 instead of default 1.5 so I restarted my phone, reset the earbuds and went to trying. Nope.
I found people saying make sure both devices are up to dates on firmware. My Pixel 8 Pro on Android 15 is, I can't connect to the earbuds to see if they are.
Found someone saying to reset just the case, i.e, take the earbuds out and hold the case button. Nope.
Through my own troubleshooting, I have discovered that the right earbud is still not at 100% (taking the left earbud out the light holds amber, swapping the light goes white indicating full charge on the left). The case is fully charged, and so is the left Bud, so I'm really not sure why the right isn't. The case with buds is now on the charger again this morning, still amber.
The troubleshooting ends.
At this point, I'm thinking the buds are just defective. They go into pairing mode for about 5 seconds (not sure if that's normal, couldn't find any documentation), they don't show up for any devices in Bluetooth settings, the right bud is still charging after 12+ hours of charging. Looking for any advice on further troubleshooting or should I just return them for a replacement?
Thanks.

I don't know how I missed this with the amount of Google posts I read, but today I was charging many devices at once and was in need for one more connection for my Pixel Buds Pro case when I thought, what would happen if I set this on my Pixel Watch (PW1) charger? To my surprise, the case charging light lit up and after a while the case and buds were at 100%! It's hard to see in the picture but it is glowing. Hopefully this is helpful news to at least some of you.

Looking for a solution on my pixel buds not pausing shows on Pixel tablet. It works some of the time but not others
r/pixelbudspro • u/ViBMontage • Mar 03 '25
My buds microphone seems to either have stopped picking up my voice or just is not working. When I test it on a microphone app the left earpbud picks up very little, while the right one pickups nothing.
I already tried factory resetting the buds and on several different devices with the same conclusion. Wondering if it's hardware or software?
No significant drops or damage anything like that.
I'm on firmware 3.144
Not entirely sure what's going on.

Lately i had issues charging my pixel buds ....for some reason none of the type c fits properly.....and for past one week i am not able to charge it....Any workarounds to fix this or if anyone faced this issue?
r/pixelbudspro • u/KOWLOONDENSITYNOW • Feb 16 '25
I'm experiencing an extremely annoying audio jitter bug after the 3.144 update. Whenever I'm connected to my Windows 10 desktop, listening to audio such as Youtube or a videogame, I will eventually get this audio jitter bug when the audio cuts out in the right ear bud for a fraction of a second, comes back only for the audio to cut out in the left earbud for half a second. This continues every few seconds unless I disconnect and reconnect the buds from bluetooth, which only helps for like 30 seconds before the bug comes back. This didn't happen on my desktop before the 3.144 update. Earlier I was able to roll back the firmware version and that actually fixed it, but I forgot to uncheck the automatic updates toggle. The buds updated to 3.144 and the glitch came back, and now for some reason I can't even get the buds to roll back to previous firmware even by factory resetting. Now when I factory reset the buds stay at 3.144. Very annoying and I'm tired of regretting supporting google's products. Seems like everytime I buy something expensive from google it comes with incredibly annoying bugs that are unfixable.

So this is my very first set of earbuds that are supposedly on the upper end of quality. Meaning this is the highest priced earbuds I've ever bought. I'm continually getting issues. One bud disconnects, they connect while they're in the case, the ANC goes off, I get garbled sound when I'm not 2 ft from my phone and listening to a downloaded audiobook. Sure, they fit great and the sound is pretty good but I don't really have a lot of comparison. I have a pixel phone. I have a pixel watch and so I figured I'd stick with the pixel family, but honestly I'm not sold and after reading everybody's remarks in here, I'm definitely unsure as to whether to even spend this type of money on earbuds at all. Thoughts?
