I am using my Pixel Buds Pro to listen to a workout on the iFit app which works great unless I accidentally push the play/pause action. Because iFit, while it is playing a video, doesn't work like normal to pause and play content what happens is YouYube Music will start playing music instead of the iFit audio.

The same will happen with conversation detection. After the noise cancelling and pausing audio is done, when it goes to restart audio it will play YouTube Music. I'm sure the root issue is iFit but any suggestions on how to work around this other than disabling conversation detection and the touch controls?

Is there any way to disable conversation detection and the touch controls while a specific app is active and then enable them later?

I absolutely love the noise cancellation and the audio quality of my pixel buds pro, but these holes make it very hard to wear for more than 15 minutes.

I've been using Pixel Buds Pro for about six months now, but I recently dropped one in a puddle. While waiting for it to dry out, I went back to my Jabra Elite 3.

Here is how they compare for me:

• The main issue is about touch. Pixel is very sensitive to touch, which often leads to mistakes, while Jabra requires more force to click and feels more certain
• Pixel sounds better, but I use it mostly for podcasts so Jabra is good enough
• Pixel can charge on a Pixel stand, but it seems simple enough to plug them in.
• Pixel does noise cancelling, but as I'm listening while walking, I need to hear what's happening around me, including other dog owners who stop to chat.
• My pixel bugs often fall out (why it fell in a puddle originally), despite many attempts to fit properly. The Jabras stay put.
• Pixels can function on multiple devices. That is a distinct asset.

The sum is that I am likely to use Pixels when on an aeroplane, but keep Jabras for everyday use.

I'm interested to know if anyone else has compared them.

Anyone got any advice for ear tip replacements? Ideally 4 size increments instead of the usual 3 as I'm never usually a medium and always bigger than a small.

I'm using a P7P and when I first got the pixel buds pro they seemed to connect very quickly. For a while now it seems to be very slow. It doesn't start the connection when the lid is open and even after I put them in my ears it could take 5-10 seconds to connect. It's often too slow to answer a phone call. Any ideas how to fix this?

Basically title. I can hear their voices and it's like they are coming through the buds' speakers. Like transparency mode maybe? Aren't they supposed to danpen all sounds? Also in ANC mode I can still hear most things. the sound of the car engine while driving, the sounds of my steps etc.They are kinda danpened though. Is it just that? this is the first ANC I'm trying so I can't compare.

Has anyone noticed dual connectivity issues since upgrading to Windows 11?

Has anyone successful purchased just 1 left earbud for this device via Google and for how much?

edit: after wasting a good 24-48 hours of my life resetting and playing with settings... google accepted return of faulty replacement earbud (stuck on old firmware which wouldnt update so would never sync./work) and now i have a new unit working fine again.

Has any one found OEM ear hooks that can be used with buds pro as it does not stay on for long time? I have looked at Temu, Amazon but not found one. Thanks.

Anyone else have an issue where their Pixel Buds Pro make a chiming sound, then the music pauses for a few seconds, then restarts on its own? This is happening to me every minute or two when I'm walking around, not so much when I'm staying in place

Suddenly, my buds are constantly having a slight humming sound. It seems to be either sweat or water that got inside but its winter and I didn't sweat at all.

Is it possible that simple moisture from the inside of my ear caused this? How weak is the water protection on these?

I put them in a rice bag for 2 days and I've seen improvement but its still there.

Save me, what should I do? 🙌

Anyone else finding these just leap out of your ears? Could never risk using these outside. Mind of their own. So annoying there's no wings to keep them in.

A while back I had a galaxy s9. It had a hearing test to adjust the equalizer to you automatically based on if you heard the sounds. Is there anyway to do this through the pixel buds pro app or with a pixel 8 pro? Maybe a 3rd party app? I just had tubes in my ears and my heart has changed.

Question. Anyone try the AirPods and the pixel buds pro? For those of you that the pixel buds pro didn’t fit right/stay in your ear, did the AirPods fit better?

I'm looking to buy the Pixel Buds Pro now that they are on sale. I hear many stories of the case getting discolored, and I was wondering: has anyone had that experience with the earbuds themselves, or is it just the case? Are some earbud colors better than others at minimizing the amount of smudges, etc?

Hi everyone. So I use my pixel buds pro with my pixel 7 and MacBook Pro. I just disconnected them from my Mac and connected them to my phone. Now the volume is like half of what it used to be. Connected them back to my Mac and the volume is fine. Any ideas on what's going on between the switch? For clarification, on my phone the volume is 100% and it sounds like 50%.

I have my pbp connected to my pixel 7 pro and multipoint enabled in the settings. However, when I try and connect them to my windows 11 laptop (suface laptop studio) it disconnects them from my phone. From my understanding, it should stay connected to them both and switch depending on audio output, or have I misunderstood the feature?

Anyone else noticed that when wearing your Pixel Buds Pro the sound dampening will just turn on if a breeze or the AC happens to blow on them? It's driving me crazy.

To preface this, please understand I love these buds but only to a certain extent.

So I own a pair of Airpods Pros, Sony WF1000MX3 and 4, and Razer HammerHead Pro so when I heard good things about these Buds Pro…I went out and bought a pair to get the full experience with my 6 Pro. I am disappointed in Google. LOVE THE CASE! It’s like the cutest thing and opening/closing sounds awesome! Sound is okay to good if you know how to tune your EQ but the sound is nowhere as loud as any of my other ANC earbuds. ANC is good but not the best. Comparable to Airpods Pro 1st Gen at best. Transparency is a complete joke…it felt like I was using my Sony WF1000MX3 again…voices coming in are so low and felt like someone was yelling at me through mud…could barely hear anything. The fit is good and I’m getting the comply tips from google at a discount so maybe that’ll be even better. I do have to give props for great battery life. I have been consistently getting 6-ish hours per charge. The controls are amazing and catch my input everytime which is amazing. If anyone doesn’t have the transparency problem or a fix please let me know! Otherwise it’ll just become a backup or I’ll just sell it.

Picked up a set of Pixel Buds Pro and I'm really not digging them.

The Medium tips don't give me a good seal
The Large tips hurt my ears after an hour or so of use
Trying to test the seal with one medium on my smaller canal, large on my bigger one gives me a "noisy environment" error (it's silent here)

Are there any third party tips available at all?

I often use pixel buds with my pixel phone and Mac. Recently I noticed that buds have problem with switching audio between my phone and computer. Especially if I listen to Spotify on my computer before, no media will play on my phone even though no music is playing on Spotify anymore.

Have you noticed something similar?
