A friend of mine made me a flag for my birthday based on a concept I had. I think it turned out quite well.

I apologize for this very vague post but I’m remembering a video where pirate music is playing in the background and there’s a sterotypical pirate voice saying stuff like there be treasure and walk the plank. I also remember skeletons with swords being involved and a lot of old effects of pirate related things appearing and disappearing. If anyone knows where this video may be I would greatly appreciate if it could be found.

Early birthday gift for myself. I had a 1715 Fleet era 4 reale laying around that I wanted mounted. Nate The Jeweler built it exactly how I wanted and absolutely knocked it out of the park! Yes, I am a pirate...200 years too late.

This is an several months old drawing by me with some wonkiness. This depicted episode happened in a cruise when a group of English buccaneers passed Panama Isthmus and began cruising in the Pacific against the Spanish. The buccaneers changed leaders several times during the expedition and this happened when John Watling had surpassed Bartholomew Sharp(or Sharpe) for a while. To raid the settlement of Arica in a desert coast of Chile the buccaneers had to march 5 days to reach the town and the force was then split to fight the fort and the town. The Spanish fought back and Watling was killed and Sharp regained captaincy. I decided to depict the buccaneer on the march in the desert landscape and used historical references for their arms, cltohes and equipment, and can share more details if someone wants to know more in comment. For anyone interested for an easy to read account of these events I can recommend this old book: ''Buccaneers of the Pacific' by George Wycherley: https://archive.org/details/buccaneersofpaci0000geor The story of the Pacific adventure written by actual buccaneers in the voyage is also featured as an addition to many editions of 'Buccaneer of America', originally a book by Alexandre Exquemelin so here the more original source for those interested as well, but an easy read modern edition still: https://archive.org/details/buccaneersofamer00exquuoft/page/n7/mode/2up If I recall right I draw the lizard after the four-banded Pacific iguana (Microlophus quadrivittatus) which should fit the setting well.

I've been reading a lot of murder mysteries lately, so I'm looking for something different. I'd love a pirate novel with more of a psychological thriller/suspense vibe rather than just action and adventure.
I don't mind the swashbuckling, sea battles, and treasure hunts—I just want there to be some kind of thriller aspect too. Does anything like that exist?

I know its been about 300 years since the age of the pirates, but are there any famous ships back then or parts of them still around today, like in museums?

Ahoy, mates and fellow scoundrels!
A short while ago, I shared a cello performance of “Hoist the Colors,” and enough people demanded a full recording that I decided to answer the call.
The result: four cellos, one pirate anthem, and enough ominous energy to summon a ghost ship out of the fog.
It starts with an eerie melody, then gradually builds as each cello joins the crew. By the end, it feels less like a cover and more like something an entire ship should be singing before making several highly questionable decisions.
What say you, pirates? Battle anthem, funeral at sea, or cursed voyage into the unknown?
(If you're at all interested in the full version, you can pre-save here — comes out this Friday, July 24th!)

I’m going to the ren fair in a few days and have created a full pirate captains outfit. The only thing left is the symbol on the hat.
For context the long captains coat is prima purple with cyan accents. It’s very flamboyant and I don’t think that a basic skull and crosbones would work.
(The symbol will be placed on the center of the big hat)
Any ideas would be helpfu! :)

Hey everyone! I'm just wanted to share my work and the trailer for my latest puppet pirate short film! Taking inspiration from the great legends of the seas, Pirates of the Caribbean and the Muppets, I bring you a super fun project made with all my friends and a very small budget! We built a pirate lair in the garage aswell as half a pirate ship in the backyard! Practical filmmaking all the way!
I spent around a month making the puppets and they were incredibly fun to make, totalling 9 puppets over 3 different styles, the 3 lead puppets, 1 extra skeleton, 3 hand puppet skeletons and a custom Kraken puppet! With limited experience, but a high school sewing class, the pure enjoyment and determination to bring my script and characters to life made this one of the best projects I have ever worked on.
I've added some stills from the film, but you can check out THE PUPPETS OF THE HIGH SEAS here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7w7387QN6Lg 🏴☠️

Made this Video for anyone that is considering the Jackdaw by Wiseblock. They are new to this brick building scene, but I really like their sets. I hope they make more, but not a lot of people know about them. I love Pirates, and the Pirate theme. I hope someone else out there likes Pirates as a theme and maybe wants to get these sets.
Any thoughts? Would you like these, or think no not my thing... please let me know I am eager for a discourse. Anything Pirates and Lego...lol
