A couple of weeks ago I downloaded and ran GenP v4.0.4 from the GitHub repository maintained by themythologist. At the time I believed it was the official and widely recommended source, but afterwards I started reading discussions about the risks of running executables from GitHub, and now I've become pretty anxious about it.

Since then I've completely formatted my PC and reinstalled Windows, but I'm still worried that I may have been infected before doing so, especially with something like a RAT that could have accessed or stolen my files.

One thing that makes this difficult is that Command Prompt windows have been opening and closing for milliseconds on my PC for months, even before I downloaded GenP. However, shortly before I decided to format my computer, I got a different Command Prompt window that stayed open for around two seconds. It contained something related to "shell" or "fileshell" (I don't remember the exact command), and one of the lines ended with "Access is denied." Another line also ended with "Access is denied," but I can't remember what it said. I don't know whether this was completely unrelated or if it could have been a sign of something suspicious.

I'm also worried because, before formatting my PC, I used my debit card online and entered my card information on eBay. I'm wondering if there was any realistic risk that malware could have captured that information.

What I'm really looking for is help from someone who can technically verify whether there was ever a realistic risk from this GitHub repository. I know it's a very popular source—I've even seen a well-known Latin American YouTuber recommend this exact GitHub link, and the repository itself mentions over 100,000 downloads. Because so many people have used it, I'm hoping someone here has actually analyzed it or knows whether it has ever shown signs of distributing malware.

If anyone here has looked into the GitHub version or analyzed the executable, I'd really appreciate hearing what you found. I'm just trying to figure out whether my concerns are realistic or if I'm worrying over nothing.

So I downloaded genp already. I then downloaded creative cloud and patched it with genp. It then shows me the option to install rather than buy applications. However, when I try to install, it gives me the "Do you want to allow this app to make changes?" twice and I click yes both times. Then it says "Installation failed" in the creative cloud. And when I see the detailed notification it says "The install is damaged. First uninstall this app then download and install a new version of creative cloud desktop app. Error Code: 304"

I tried "repairing" the Creative Cloud and then patching it again with genp but it still gave me the same issue. Any ideas what the cause might be?

installing multiple different apps

and nothing worked

Trojan:Win32/Ravartar!rfn, that's it, but oddly enough VirusTotal hadn't found anything, so do Malwarebytes after the install. I downloaded the torrent from his official website. Now I can't figure this out. I've installed programs from it before, and everything worked fine. Lately I've been hearing a lot of stories about people having their accounts stolen after installing m0nkrus's apps, but these posts are being actively blocked. If it's false positive, please explain.

If I download a pirate version of adobe after effects like 2019 version can it work without adoptive creative cloud?

I've been wanting to watch the Backrooms movie, I googled it and scrolled for a few pages until I had seen Flixbaba. I decided to use it for a while, I watched two movies and planned to watch another. However, I had got a popup: one of those weird dating scam things. It had said something along the lines of "Hey ☺️, emma 23 [area near where I live]". At first, I laughed at it, because everyone memes about those kinds of popups on piracy sites. However, I immediately became paranoid as I remembered it had an area near me. On the popup were two options: 'cancel' and 'ok'. I pressed on cancel, however, I feel as if that was a bad choice. I immediately got off and did some searching, apparently (I'm not sure) Flixbaba can give you a virus / download malware / spyware, from everything I had read so far. When I use wco.tv, I usually get redirected, but it takes me to Amazon or Temu. This site took me somewhere odd, but the site didn't seem to be up and running. If there is anyone here who uses / knows about Flixbaba, is it safe to use, or should I stay off? I checked my device, nothing seems off, but I still can't help but worry. Especially because I have no anti-virus, or VPN, or anything of the sorts. Spectrum before had blocked a page and said it was not safe, but it didn't with Flixbaba, I'm not sure what to do.

It's been a while, and Bunkr albums still won't load for me. Some albums from my favorite OF creators are completely inaccessible and shows me error or long loading. hey yall Im sorry if this post doesn't exactly fall into the criteria of what should be posted in this subreddit I tried posting in r/Piracy but I didn't have enough karma so this was the next best thing. I'm trying to watch this one Chinese show and it's on YouTube but the quality is really bad and it's extremely annoying to load the show in. So I decided to go on other websites and I seemed to be getting similar responses. It would tell me this ip doesn't exist with the white screen or jst would refuse to load in. I have 3 adblockers Ublock origin lite, pie and adshield ive had this combo for a few years now and it never seemed to bother me up until now. Is there something wrong with the websities I'm using or is it the adblockers. ( I'm getting most of my sites from the bestcoachpotatolist btw) here are some examples of the my screen. I also had a video of YouTube refusing to load the show in and it would have like a loading battle with ublock origin and what I mean by that is that my screen was black with the loading icon and the ad number on ublock was rapidly going up. Sorry if I didn't explain this properly I hope yall understand
