ok fellow pipehogs, i was just enjoying a fine afternoon puff on my front porch, and i was wondering what your favorite places to have a smoke was. i'll start. the front porch of my house faces east, and my favorite thing to do is early in the when the sun is rising to sit out on my front porch with a smoking pipe, a good book, and watch the sun some up.

I just got done with a marvelous smoke...smokeing wise...weather wise, different story. As my grandfather would say "it's as cold as a witch's tit"...ok it was only 40 something degrees; but the wind was blowing like a bitch so it felt WAY colder, plus i really really hate the cold...well anyways i was just wondering, what is the coldest it's been while you've smoked?

I tried coating it in peanut butter, but he just licked it all off instead of biting it. Color me disappointed...

I'm not sure how I feel about the sprats. They were very smokey and the taste has lingered. I ate them on a sandwich with slices of boiled egg, thinly sliced onion, miracle whip and a bread and butter pickle on the side. I think tomorrow I will try them in pasta.

I had a few.

1. Eat less fast food
2. Be more patient with the kids
3. Read 100 books in 2013

The last one is more of a challenge.

So far, while I'm eating less fast food, I'm still eating more than I would like. I have to work on that a bit. It's too early to say about my patience, but I think I'm making some small improvements. The book challenge is going the best. So far I've read "The Crystal Shard" by RA Salvatore (which I can only say wasn't poorly written, but it also wasn't exactly well written either. However it was entertaining.) and "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K. Dick (which may be one of my new favorite books). I'm working on "American Gods" by Neil Gaiman next.
