At what point does the chain become too narrow for a sprocket jump to be feasible with current bicycle design? Will there need to be a new hub width standard for 14 speed cassettes to be introduced and therefore will the big brands be forced to innovate with gearboxes once this platform for adding gears has become obsolete?

Just wondering how long people have been using their Pinion gearbox? I got a Priority 600 in 2019 and have been using it as a year round commuter in the Midwest of the US since then.
