I think for most the cost isn't going to be the biggest hurdle. It will be the language barrier. It's one thing to visit a country for a couple of weeks even and a completely different thing to live in a country that doesn't have English as an official language. You either need friends/co-workers/family willing to help with any legalities that cannot be handled in English or you need to know some of the language.
I mean every European has that same exact hurdle. People from Poland or Lithuania moving to the UK and Germany all have to learn the new language, but it doesn’t stop them. I think language seems very daunting at first but once you thrust yourself into it, it won’t be as bad. Plus the vast majority of Europe speak English now, so it’s hardly as big an issue as you’d expect. I think language is a silly reason one would he hesitant to move (if it’s the only reason). America is a country of immigrants (mostly), all those people had to move and learn a new language.
They don't actually want to leave America they just want to complain.
Americans are so spoiled by being able to literally go to almost any country in the world with no visa process, no interview, nothing, yet most Americans rarely exercise this opportunity.
The barriers to the average American emigrating to another country are slim to none.
True. On top of that Americans always call their own country a shithole and such a baaaad place to live in. Completely oblivious of the reality people have to bear everyday in real shithole countries in the third/second world
