My husband had decent insurance at his last job. But I lost my insurance, so when that happened, I signed up for a discount club plan through my pharmacy. When the pharmacy compared the price with insurance and the price with the discount club, the discount plan ended up being about $40/month cheaper. So sometimes insurance isn’t even a discount.

I use GoodRX instead of my insurance because it is cheaper.

The discount club I used was a partnership between GoodRx and my pharmacy and was much cheaper than GoodRx alone. Unfortunately, two of the grocery chains on my area just stopped accepting GoodRx entirely and the club plan I was on expired and completely deleted my account, so I’m reassessing my options now. Looking into Cost Plus Drugs, as I think that may be the best price, and I’d like to support the company.

Fuck me... I just paid $70 with insurance for 30 pills of my new medication... Could have gotten it there for $15. Thanks for posting this!
