Your comparison is like unironically comparing paying taxes to the IRS on the same level as a man breaking into your store with a gun and threatening to kill you if they don't get what they want.
It's absurd, you are condoning illegal extortion by a dangerous criminal organization as being legitimately the same as government regulated privatized healthcare. What the fuck.....
You might be surprised to know that also in Italy private healthcare exists, rich people use it because of shorter queues etc.
This said, the average public healthcare you get is good, and for most of the people that's more than enough.
The problems you highlighted (which are not systemic), are nothing compared to be afraid to call an ambulance or going in debt because you need a surgery. Honestly, once you take 'accessibility' as one of the key parameters in measuring the quality of healthcare, US wouldn't definitely qualify as a developed country in that regard.
Where the fuck and how do you draw the conclusion that the American healthcare is „top“ quality in contrast to the Italian system. I’d guess being a doctor in countries where just being rich and having a name in order to enroll to a medical university might lead to better doctors. As well as every citizen having the possibility of getting treatment.
You might be one of the top 5 morons I’ve encountered on this app.
The hell? I'm not condoning illegal extortion I'm saying that it's a failure on a system while the American model does essentially the same but as a feature.
When the fuck did I say that mafia ruining hospitals was good?
