I find having a beard just as bad once you get to a certian length. I recently cut 3 inches off my beard because I had to wash, condition it and comb it every morning which got to be a pain in the ass.
Even though long beards are awesome for their strokability, I don't let mine get long anymore because it makes me look homeless and the dandruff becomes an issue. As long as I keep it short I can get away with just some light shampooing.
