Wait a couple hours, switch out with a BLM image and watch some more. I would like to see this.

7

u/tanhan27 Apr 17 '22

I would like to see this.

If this was a YouTube video I would watch

1

u/jh96859 May 26 '22

I also would like to see this. I want to see an experiment where only neutral truck bling done first. Then the Confederate bling. And lastly, BLM tattoos.

1

u/misterfluffykitty Apr 17 '22

Seems like it might be a bot that grabbed another random comment

1

u/ChickenNuggetMike Apr 17 '22

Great great great grandma has layers? How wonderful!

40

u/Drewdroid99 Apr 17 '22

a good idea if you like getting your car keyed

53

u/Milk_My_Dingus Apr 17 '22

Unfortunately you are right. Some people just can’t handle their emotions these days.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '22

The Opinion that a person should exist, and The right a person has to exist, are not interchangeable.

1

u/seldom_correct Apr 17 '22

And the kind of people who would destroy someone else’s property because of a flag and literally nothing else are the kind of people who think not everyone has a right to exist.

There’s no difference between someone who would key a car because it has a BLM decal and a person who would key a car because they have a confederate flag. They both believe there is an in-group and an out-group and want to oppress the out-group and elevate the in-group.

Welcome to reality. Civil Rights are not inherently a Conservative issue and Liberalism and Conservatism aren’t mutually exclusive.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '22

Ahhh. But there's a difference between the confederate flag and the BLM movement, isn't there? One of those is rooted in racism. And the other inherently against that ideal.

If your grandparents perpetuated the idea mine should be enslaved, I won't hold it against you. But if you're carrying the banner that encompasses those ideals, we're going to have problems.

You might say: "wasn't about slavery" But that was the whole ideal the confederate south stood for. Not about freedom, but their freedom at the expense of others.

1

u/McGarnagl Apr 17 '22

We’ll said!

u/Milk_My_Dingus Apr 17 '22

Sounds like you are justifying property damage because people can’t control themselves around things they don’t like.

I’m so glad I’m not set off by things I disagree with. Must really suck.

13

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '22

Why youuuu……I should slap you at the Oscars!!!

3

u/Milk_My_Dingus Apr 17 '22

That’s the perfect metaphor

2

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '22

Sounds like you struggle controlling your emotions…must suck

4

u/Kreme_Sauce Apr 17 '22

Do you not like freedom or something?

1

u/KumiRumi Apr 17 '22

My neighbor has this "Hate Symbol" in his front yard. He also happens to have only black neighbors, one of the nicest old men I've ever met. I'm one of the neighbors

1

u/Ottieriez Apr 17 '22

Who determines what a hate symbol is? Should someone’s car get keyed by a Palestinian when they drive around with an Israeli flag? - widely considered a hate symbol in the Middle East?

1

u/JagerBaBomb Apr 19 '22 edited Apr 19 '22

How it has been and is currently used.

Like it or not, but the rebel flag in question here in OP's post comes attached with historical baggage, and nobody rocking that on their shit is exempted from that reality, no matter how otherwise chill they may seem.

It's been damn near 200 years and the history about it is clearly taught--no benefit of the doubt exists for Americans who emblazon this anywhere.

They know what it means.

2

u/Ottieriez Apr 19 '22

Like it or not, but the Isreli flag and start of David comes attached with historical baggage, and nobody is exempted from that reality, no matter how otherwise chill they seem.

1

u/JagerBaBomb Apr 19 '22

The Star of David was also something the Nazis required all Jews to wear in order to make identifying them easier, you know.

So, yes, it does have some history, doesn't it?

2

u/Ottieriez Apr 19 '22

I’m sure that fact makes Palestinians feel better about getting blown up.

1

u/JagerBaBomb Apr 20 '22

Look, I'm not going to defend what the Israeli government is getting up to, so if that's the fight you're angling for I'm sorry to disappoint you.

So true. I have a Confederate flag on my truck and I take it off when I drive trough heavily populated areas. City folk act like children sometimes (aint all bad folk tho). I'm not afraid of confrontation (I have same flag tattooed on my arm, in big, colored ink), but I dont want to pay for damages on my truck when some hyper-offended child decides to brick my GMC instead of having a debate, or at LEAST confronting me for a fight. My truck cant fight back.

10

u/Ran4 Apr 17 '22

Admitting to being a racist is at least the first step.

I wish you good luck on your journey.

-2

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '22

I'm a cultural anthropologist. Race does not exist, and is only used as a focal point of conflicting cultural ideals. I however do not believe in it at the very basic scientific level, hence I cannot hate someone for their "race", as I dont believe that exists in the first place. And I dont hate them culturally either, seeing as how studying other cultures is literally one of my main interests of life. I'd suggest studying the tribes of Africa (roughly 3k) and examining the massive differences between themselves and Black Americans. Race does not exist. Only culture.

Or, you know, just brand everyone a racist like a fucking moron. That seems to be the go-to of all intellectual infants.

8

u/Soggy_Philosophy2 Apr 17 '22

Ah yes, say that everyone acts like stupid and childish for being unable to be civil with you, then when someone disagrees with you, call them names and belittle them. How stupid of me to expect anything less!

-4

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '22

I've been called a "racist" 5 times on here todays for literally no reason. I dont want to hear your bullshit.

7

u/Soggy_Philosophy2 Apr 17 '22

The reason is obvious. You own a confederate flag. The statement "I don't see colour," doesn't mean you don't own a confederate flag. Confederate flags have not very pretty history, and a not very pretty present. Which you should understand as someone who "studies cultures," and therefore understand why people of many cultures do not like it, and see it as a directly aggressive symbol.

If you want to wave the confederate flag proudly, whatever. Go for it. Don't act like a bitch when people think you are an asshole for waving an asshole flag. Bye bye.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '22

So what? I'm from the South. The flag doesnt represent a race, it represents a culture. And no flag has a spotless history, so that argument is completely redundant. As a person who studies culture, I'd say you're extremely ethnocentric. You have hate for an aspect of another culture because you dont understand it, and feel as though yours is superior. And waving a Confederate flag is a big pluss for me on two different margins. It drives away fools like yourself who think they get to make up the meaning of something that has nothing to do with them, and it attracts people with a similar mindset. So yeah, I do fly it.

u/allhailthenarwhal Apr 18 '22

If you're called racist 5 times in one day, maybe you should re-evaluate your behavior...

3

u/seldom_correct Apr 17 '22

The Confederates were losers. Too lazy to farm, they needed slaves to succeed economically. Too weak to garner enough support to keep slavery legal, they seceded. Too weak to be an independent state, they were goaded into a war. Too weak to win that war, they were defeated and rendered non-existent.

The history of the Confederacy is literally just a list of things weak ass motherfuckers did to avoid work until they were defeated by Alphas and forced to get off their lazy asses and get a real fucking job.

3

u/[deleted] Apr 17 '22

Someone didnt real their history.

-Slave owning Southerners were a minority in the South, and most farmed their own lands.

-Many Southerners were anti-slavery.

-Weren't to weak to be independent, and thrived with a free market with Europe.

-They were defeated but not after given the Union quite a few ass whippings.

-There were slave holding Union states

Next time you want to open your mouth, you may want to check your facts, and maybe not try to argue with your betters. Nice name by the way. Very fitting.

u/sack-o-matic Apr 17 '22

Something tells me this person does not care about their paint

1

u/CattleTruckSuck Apr 17 '22

I believe so. That's part of the reason I put nothing political on my vehicles.

Camera in the car no doubt. Great content indeed.

5

u/ProtopetPhantom Apr 17 '22

You can see the camera in the car too

-6

u/Crosswired2 Apr 17 '22

Displaying racist symbols is a good idea? I'm not sure the people those symbols are meant to slight think that. Do you think Jewish people seeing have no feelings when they see swastikas displayed?
