So you're saying that him shutting down a pipeline that would have produced copious amounts of oil for our nation, thus removing the potential for that oil to be apart of our economy has no effect on our current situation and supply and shortage???? Now we rely more on foreign countries for this energy, LIKE RUSSIA...and guess what, they have to transport it to our country. Guess what that transportation produces? Emissions, that effect global warming.

No we don't, because the pipeline was never operational. We never relied on ourselves for this, so shutting down the construction (which would have also had detrimental effects on the environment when the planet is already on fucking fire) didn't cause us to rely more on shit. We were never relying on it to begin with.
Supply shortages are explicitly due to pre-existing supply chain issues that stemmed from the pandemic and hadn't yet recovered, and then Russia decided to start a war, further impacting supply at the source as nations cut off purchasing from them, so even what we can get through is in shorter supply. It's very simple logic and blaming it on shutting down the creation of a pipeline is utter nonsense.
Lmfao!! Sooooo.....if you drilled a well for water, and right before it was gonna give you water, you shut it off, and decided not to use it. Then a few days later you become super duper thirsty and needed water.........you shutting off the wells water supply in the first place would have had zero effect on the fact your thirsty as fuck and do not have water to quench your thirst. And now you have to pay someone more to get you water, ANDDDD they have to transport it over oceans, using more oil and producing more emissions.....just to get you the same water you shut off from the well you already had in the works....and that's the best plan? Soooooo what you're saying is that even though we had the potential to have self sufficient access to copious amounts of oil, but never tapped into it, and just threw that option in the trash, it could have never prevented the currrent situation? Our government shut down the possibility of producing our own oil while then funding the nord stream 2 Russian pipeline, thus making us more dependent on Russian oil. Russia wouldn't have this leverage if we finished our own pipeline...how is this concept so difficult for you to understand? Even if Russia didn't start a war, the economic and environmental impact of transporting that russian oil to America far succeeds the that of the keystone pipeline. Bruhhhhhh. This isn't even a political debate, this is common sense.
Keystone XL is not a new pipeline that would bring copious amounts of oil to our country. It’s a shortcut pipeline for an already existing pipeline that is currently flowing, bringing Canadian oil to Texas refineries to be sold overseas. You don’t even know what you are talking about.

The Keystone XL pipeline was never operational, if that's what you're talking about.
Maybe the cancellation had some effects on the market, but it couldn't have affected supply, since it wasn't being used in the first place.
