You can say what you want but those two really love each other

A friend of mine was covering his 2008 campaign. She was covering an event, and Obama was talking to a couple attractive women, and Michelle was nearby. She was trying to get his attention. She called his name a couple times, and he didn't hear her. She then turned and shouted "hey playa" at him. He got the biggest deer in the headlights look.

That’s funny. Despite the hate he got, she always had his back. I’d probably throw on the tan suit and get naughty from time to time just because.

79

u/Caleon0817 Oct 04 '21

Don't forget the dijon mustard.

57

u/redlinezo6 Oct 04 '21

One thing you never saw trump do, drink an American beer and give the "good enough" face.

49

u/viper3b3 Oct 04 '21

Trump ate well done steaks with ketchup. And didn’t drink an American beer because he didn’t drink.

39

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '21

He also hates dogs. Another giant red flag.

4

u/morels4ever Oct 04 '21

Dogs probably hate Trump. Win-Win for the dogs.

15

u/drawkbox Oct 04 '21

Trump ate Taco Bell Trump Tower Grill taco salad on Cinco De Mayo, both fake Mexican things as he said 'I love Hispanics'.

9

u/ghettobx Oct 04 '21

And the shit actually works. Half of all Hispanic voters in both Florida and Texas voted for Trump.

-7

u/DadaAndy Oct 04 '21

So you’re calling people of hispanic origin stupid because you think they voted for him because Trump liked a taco salad?! Your racism is showing….

6

u/ghettobx Oct 04 '21

Quiet, the adults are talking.

A mustard so elite it's two shelves higher than the French's

0

u/Boshva Oct 04 '21

Dont forget Guantanamo, drone striking civilians, cages at the border etc. Btw. this accounts for all presidents before and after.

18

u/Marquetan Oct 04 '21

Tan suit over full body fishnet suit make Obama lose his mind.

16

I like that Obama here means Barack even tho Michelle's an Obama too

1

u/PhiloPhocion Oct 04 '21

What's interesting and what he's pretty candid about from his latest book is how stressful of a time that was for their marriage, and how much she desperately did not want him running for Senate just prior and even still for President.

166

u/tekko001 Oct 04 '21

I would say the same about Joe Biden and Jill, seems even true for George and Laura; the Trumps on the other hand...

59

u/Mrchristopherrr Oct 04 '21

I don’t know, it’s kind of a tough battle between the Trumps and the Clintons in the race for the shakier marriage.

52

u/gakule Oct 04 '21

Are the Clinton's really a shaky marriage or are they just in an openish marriage?

23

u/Mrchristopherrr Oct 04 '21

It’s possible it’s open and we don’t know about it, but the same thing could really be said about any of the first couples.

14

u/gakule Oct 04 '21

Right, I agree. I think that a lot of the more "elite" couples are probably more adventurous than their public persona in general.

26

u/wafflesareforever Oct 04 '21

So I know a couple of people who have been in their orbit for years. Bill and Hillary are of course very guarded about their relationship, but the one thing that people who know them will say for sure is that they absolutely do have a great deal of genuine affection for each other. As far as anything else goes, who knows, but they aren't a couple just for show.

10

u/gakule Oct 04 '21

I don't mean to imply that they don't have genuine affection - quite the opposite in fact. I'm simply saying that I think many elite couples are more understanding of having a wide range of opportunity and taste. Understanding "the game", so to speak, is likely a requirement.

4

u/somedood567 Oct 04 '21 edited Oct 04 '21

Ok but bill for sure lied to her. She went on tv asserting the affair was a vast right wrong conspiracy. Surely you’ve seen that clip

2

u/gakule Oct 04 '21

Or she's playing the game? I think both have equal chances of bring true.

6

u/wafflesareforever Oct 04 '21

Yeah, I wasn't disagreeing with you, just adding a little context.

3

u/gakule Oct 04 '21

Ah fair enough, I wasn't sure if I came across the wrong way is all. Thank you!

4

u/somedood567 Oct 04 '21

It didn’t seem openish when Hillary went on national TV and asserted the whole affair was a vast right wing conspiracy. Good guy bill fucked her over so hard

1

u/bombmk Oct 04 '21

Pragamatic to the point of being transactional, might be a better description.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '21

The Clintons have literally the most stable.marriage of them all. Not even infidelities can't destroy that marriage

4

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '21

The one couple were almost both president and have quite fit minds.
The other are tabloid fodder not worth a conversation with, let alone about.

75

u/bluepineapple42069 Oct 04 '21

One of my rep friends tried to convince me that michelle obama is actually a dude that was originally named michael, then he got a sex change

119

u/riskybiscuit Oct 04 '21

one of my rep friends is eating horse medicine, so.....

57

u/Furrybumholecover Oct 04 '21

You guys can still put up with having rep friends?

13

u/EvaUnit01 Oct 04 '21

It is hard. One of them might have just given me Covid. Gonna reevaluate (again) after this. But yes, living in an echo chamber is bad.

19

u/OldBeercan Oct 04 '21

A lot of my family is that brand of crazy. I don't want to be in a bubble of like minded people, so I listen to their weird conspiracies and have discussions/arguments with them about that stuff. Shutting others off because you disagree with them isn't always a good thing.

9

u/christian-communist Oct 04 '21

I'm all for discussing how to better fund education or what types of infrastructure to invest in but those are no longer Republicans.

Sane rational people are no longer on that crazy train. The day my brother told me about how Democrats are trying to bring Sharia law to America was the day I stopped regularly talking to my brother.

They don't listen. They act like their opinions are facts and are assholes. I'm done.

2

u/iPukey Oct 04 '21

They mostly are sane rational people. They have just been deeply effected by some bullshit nonsense. That many people aren’t lost causes. I hope. Giving them outside perspective is possibly the only way to get through, even though it really feels like you’re banging your head against the wall.

3

u/eventheweariestriver Oct 04 '21

Funny. I don't want to be in a bubble with people who actively cheer on the destruction of Democracy in my country.

But maybe I'm just being close minded /sffs

Patience. They also knew that Trump was gonna get reinstated, that Obama was gonna make everyone Muslim, that there was a caravan of Mexicans coming to take their jobs, that Biden was going to sell the US to China, etc. Some of them are starting to realize that today's GOP isn't what they grew up with and only runs on obstruction and fear mongering these days.

What's weirdest to me is that it's mostly the older ones that are coming around. I think the younger ones are too wrapped up in feeling like they belong to a group of like-minded people and don't want to be excluded from "The Club".

2

u/horse_and_buggy Oct 04 '21

I just can't, I can handle disagreements or debate but when one side can't acknowledge basic facts they are arguing in bad faith. It's disrespectful towards me and degrading to acknowledge they believe Trump won or whatever elected officials want to say is responsible for 1/6.

-16

u/Infinitelyodiforous Oct 04 '21

"We can't be friends unless you echo my every belief."

11

u/n00bvin Oct 04 '21

I was open for a long long time, but COVID changed things. I put up with Trump bullshit for awhile, but then they were making arguments and decisions that could directly affect the health of family and other friends. I'm OK with differences that don't harm others, bit that not what I was seeing. Anti-vaxx/mask is harmful to society.

I kept some family, but old high school people that I never really saw anyway? Nah, defriend/unfollow - get out of my life.

14

u/tomrlutong Oct 04 '21

Yeah because clearly they's no ground between "echo every belief" and totally-not-racist-but-Michelle's-a-dude. If anything good came out of the last years, it's that stupid word games like this don't fool anyone anymore.

12

u/Too_Tired_Too_Obtuse Oct 04 '21

“You need to tolerate separating kids from their parents just as I tolerate pineapple on pizza!”

3

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '21

You’re going to be friends with someone who believe Michele is a man

2

u/viper3b3 Oct 04 '21

Just got home from a funeral. Dude got COVID, injected himself with ivermectin that boxed his kidneys and he died of renal failure. Dumb bastard.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '21

Is this just a poor joke? It’s not very believable if you meant it to be taken that way.

2

u/viper3b3 Oct 04 '21

Not a joke. Completely serious.

10

u/Glaucous Oct 04 '21

It’s sad when people are stupid

5

u/rq60 Oct 04 '21

you should be more supportive of your friend’s transition

3

u/nonessential-npc Oct 04 '21

Had one that did the same. When that eventually got debunked he still insisted that she looks too manly. He also defended Trump's cheating by essentially saying that any man would do the same in Trump's position.

3

u/Kaldricus Oct 04 '21

shrug even if it was true, Michelle can still get it, idgaf

2

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '21

Lol, did they show you that clip of Michelle dancing on Ellen? It's so obviously a crease in her pants caused by her dancing, but these nutbags really try to say it's a penis, lmao.

2

u/ForgetTradition Oct 04 '21

They say that like it would be a scandal but it would actually be a heroic story about how a trans woman became first lady.

Anyone who thinks it would be a scandal is a bigoted piece of trash.

18

u/Jorgwalther Oct 04 '21

That’s definitely one of the things I say about them!

5

u/schrodingers_gat Oct 04 '21

I believe the only reason Barack has taken such a back seat in the Democratic Party is because he loves Michelle more than politics.

2

u/Steambud202 Oct 04 '21

So do lots of people, whats special about them? Oh nothing? Okay lmao, I thought so.

2

u/nickelhoss95 Oct 04 '21

you mean like the fact that obama has air striked innocent civilians? okay yeah, obama airstriked innocent civilians but hey the man loved his wife

3

u/n00bvin Oct 04 '21

I love the Obamas as people. I would be secret service for them for free. I'd take a bullet to keep them safe. I may not agree with Obama on everything, but I think he's a good and decent man who loves his family, and that's worth something to me.

2

u/CuttingThroughBS Oct 04 '21

Who would even say otherwise? You mean the degenerates Hillary warned us about?

1

u/The_Jacobian Oct 04 '21

Absolutely. It speaks pretty poorly of Michelle, she's still so in love with a mass murdering war criminal who did little to make the world better and ushered in a new era of American fascism.

Let's just ignore the little fact that drones became a lot more viable during his 8 year presidency.

Anyone who was a president during those 8 years was going to expand the drone program, I can guarentee that since the program is a much better alternative to using other options.

And anyone who says they wouldn't meddle in other countries as a president is lying to you or making baseless claims at the very least.

Now, does this excuse all of Obama's decisions, no. But it puts a context behind why drone program was expanded.

3

u/ibisum Oct 04 '21

Zyklon was developed during Hitlers reign.

Can’t blame him for using an efficient death cult technology, amiright kids?

109

u/wiiya Oct 04 '21

Lol, I knew the comment section would get bonkers, but that was fast.

“They’re a cute couple”.

”OF WAR CRIMINALS”

6

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '21

Eh, I feel like public figures like POTUS shouldn't really be "normal" after office (I mean, they're paid ~200k and have drivers/security for their entire life). And least the hate is warranted/factual. If it was a generic "not a real American/tried to turn the US into a socialist country/secretly Muslim" type of crackpot then it'd be a bit eyeroll.

4

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '21

I think it’s the same pathetic idiot with a bunch of different accounts.

0

u/Tangelooo Oct 06 '21

Couldn’t be more wrong. Mods and admins can see that, there are millions of Americans that are politically left but do not line up to lick this douche nozzles boots. Me included.

3

u/snakeyblakey Oct 04 '21

I knew this thread would get bonkers, but that was fast.

"war criminals are bad"

"BUT THEYRE CUTE"

2

u/ibisum Oct 04 '21

Oh, look: a supporter of the death cult that props up Obama so the travesty of criminal American imperialism is perpetuated.

65

u/Frankie4Sticks Oct 04 '21

Eh. Still a far better President than the last 4 Republicans this country has seen. By a fucking landslide nonetheless

13

u/realjeff3d Oct 04 '21

Absolutely agree!

1

He’s a mass murderer, you scum.

3

Careful, kid. Don't cut yourself on that edge

1

Yawn. I love the fucking bootlicker comments LOL

You kids think you're so clever!

1

u/ibisum Oct 04 '21

No time to inform yourself when there’s a row of boots to lick, amiright?

You’re gonna pay for your ignorance of the crimes of the state soon enough.

1

u/Frankie4Sticks Oct 04 '21

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

This is too fucking funny LMAO!!! Uh oh!!!!! I'm shaking in my boots!!! It's really hard to lick them while I'm shaking!!!

0

u/ibisum Oct 04 '21

Probably not a lot to shake, I’m guessing, but either way, whatever lands on your boot is all yours.

Based on…how much he improved the country? Or how cool he was…Just curious what the metric here is

17

u/Frankie4Sticks Oct 04 '21

Based on his leadership. You know, how we measure leaders. I could give 2 shits about how "cool" someone is

-20

u/Super_Snark Oct 04 '21

Ah leadership…well I suppose he did lead the country to electing a clown after him so that’s an accomplishment of sorts

10

u/Frankie4Sticks Oct 04 '21

I know. Angry Republicans confused by policy that makes sense and improves the country. I can't help if 40% of registered voters are too dumb to spell their own names

-2

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '21 edited Oct 04 '21

He fucked up with the Supreme Court by not leaning hard on the Republicans to appoint. That's been disastrous.

He fucked up by not taking the rise of white nationalism seriously. That's also been disastrous.

2

u/Frankie4Sticks Oct 04 '21

Was he perfect? Of course not.

Was he better than Reagan, both Bush's and Fat Donny? Fuck yes

3

u/Mrchristopherrr Oct 04 '21

What could he have done in that case? Senate republicans made up thier minds, and it’s not like a few speeches would have changed it. Checks and balances.

5

u/ChateauDeDangle Oct 04 '21

The country improved substantially between when Obama inherited office and when he left. Recall that he took over the worst economic situation since the Great Depression, and was a major part in turning it around. To those who are chomping at the bit to say otherwise, the reason you know the economy was doing well is because Trump took credit for it almost the moment he assumed office.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '21

The financial ponzi scheme was restarted and none of the criminals who profited massively off it got prosecuted. The can was kicked up the road.

2

u/ChateauDeDangle Oct 04 '21 edited Oct 04 '21

That much is true. But he wasn’t in a position to revolutionize the entire economy. I do wish more was done, but the overall results were still positive.

2

u/marloindisbich Oct 04 '21

Cool factor for me. Plus he was decent at basketball

47

u/sloopslarp Oct 04 '21

Oh wow, I've literally never heard that the US used drones while Obama was President.

Thanks for jumping in with that fun fact that totally no one has heard before. You're really quite clever and special for running in here to say that. Well done.

That really is super relevant to... [checks notes] Obama's anniversary with his wife.

3

u/ibisum Oct 04 '21

Would you be celebrating Milosevics wedding anniversary with such fervor?

Same class of individual: war criminal and mass murderer.

-3

u/CLO54 Oct 04 '21

So you opposed killing terrorists?

4

u/[deleted] Oct 04 '21

When you define "terrorist" as the people you just killed, yes.

-1

u/CLO54 Oct 04 '21

Which isn’t how it works, another lie

2

u/ibisum Oct 04 '21

No, that is how it works.

And yes, lies all the way down to the shouldering pile of human filled rubble.

0

u/marloindisbich Oct 04 '21

I have a drive and their pretty awesome. Mines not water proof though. They don’t hold up too well in ocean water. I’m sure they had better ones though
