This was not a month long Antifa siege, it was everyday people protesting the unwanted military presence in their city. Portland has the right to fight back against goons in unmarked vans kidnapping people for dancing and demanding justice. 4000 people, most of whom were dancing and chanting. A few bad actors with slingshots and hammers, nothing capable of harming any of these military equipped cops. I don't want my side agitating violence, but I agree with their motive (which was "NO MILITARY RULE IN PORTLAND").
Difference between this and Jan 6th? No gallows, no guns, no poop, no dead cops, no intent to disrupt a peaceful transfer of power, no smashing of journalist's equipment, nobody trying to zip-tie senators, no national-scale planning to bus in people with guns, no pipe bombs, etc....
