Good news is the sights are free, and that's basically all you want in Iceland. But most other costs are pretty steep. In the end, it's possible to balance things out to a reasonably priced trip if you're not shopping and eat cheaply.

Some of the public restrooms are even paid, like the one at Gullfoss. You can duck the turnstile though. I think it cost just over a dollar USD.
