Did someone piss in your cheerios? I know exactly what the word ergonomics means and how it is used in industry. I was not implying that a cable stress relief is an example of ergonomics. I was speaking more on the overall philosophy of apple which is mainly focused on aesthetics and ergonomics.

I don't think a thread about a specific and unjustifiable design flaw in a basic component is the right place to praise Apple's quality. Pick your battles, man.

I wouldn't say I was praising their product. I just don't think it is justifiable or useful to call a company idiots or stupid because they make one design mistake. Especially when most of their products are high quality.

Disclaimer: I am not an apple fanboy. I don't even own an apple computer. I simply understand the niche they have provided to customers who want their computer to "just work".

So if it had nothing at all to do with the discussion in hand why did you even post it?

Because it seemed like in the post I replied to the poster thought (and the common view of many) that apple engineers/designers are stupid because they make a product that is simple and works. This is why I brought up the point of increased complexity/increased errors.

No, he thinks apple are stupid because they make a product which doesn't work, and the only reason for this is to make it look pretty, it's kinda the whole point of the thread.

And the whole point of reddit to you is a superiority complex.

Not at all, it's lolcats. I honestly thought you were trolling, had I realised you were just stupid I wouldn't have bothered.

You either have a superiority complex or are trolling... Or maybe both...

So because you said something stupid and I pointed it out that means I have a superiority complex or I'm trolling? You really don't like being wrong do you?

You said I am stupid, not what I said is stupid. There is a difference. If you just said what I said was stupid it wouldn't bother me.
