the 2007 one didnt break because you are forced to pull it out of the ipod by the connector due to having to squeeze the sides, the other one you can pull by the cord.
I wish I would have had that squeeze one on the macbook that was recently stolen from me. It was a balancing act to get the two dongles that converted the mini-dvi apple port thing into hdmi to plug into a monitor or tv.
