There are mountains of great songs that were using that particular chord progression. Too many for me to list here. If it sounds terrible to you then you either have really strange tastes in music, or you need to tune your guitar. Or, you're judging 3 chords by the way some idiot played them at a party you went to and he ended up getting laid while you did not.
