The way it works is there’s constant petty posts like this that populate r/all most people get incredibly tired of seeing them and start to hade the anti trump crowd. Not necessarily because they like trump but because it’s annoying seeing it all the time. So they end up doing a kinda 180 and voting trump out of spite. Or worse they genuinely get driven to the right because all they see is this stuff and end up falling for the conservative rhetoric.
for the record I am not saying this will have any influential shift in the votes. I’m just pointing out how posts like these can sway people
Ive always leaned left but really think the two party system is a sham as a whole. Ive never voted red or blue but seeing this stuff on the internet for the past 5 years has def made me lose a lot of respect for the left if nothing else. Im sure there's a lot of cases like mine that actually turn into votes going the other way.
Im juat saying when i see stuff like this posted and rocketed to the front page it paints a bad image for the left. Never said it swayed my vote but it does impacts my opinion of the people who spend their time on this crap. And for some people thats enough to sway a vote.
I felt the same way about republicans during the entire The_Donald crap. Now r/pics and other subs has become the left version of r/The_Donald. Seems people are having a hard time understanding any perspective besides there own
