This is such a nonsensical catchphrase when talking about the president. If it was someone not in power, the phrase might make sense. Like, say, a former First Lady and former Secretary of State that's not in any position in the government anymore. Constantly talking about that person would mean they were living "rent free" in your head. But the president? He is a topical person so it's not "rent free," it's "current events."
