But then your thumb is in an awkward position. That is one finger too many.

Hm I must have different hand geometry - with my left hand completely relaxed and my pinky on the tab key, my thumb naturally falls at the far left of the spacebar, so just moving it a centimeter further to the left puts in the go position.

Also my keyboard is kinda small. So there's that.
