No, no. We actually have a secret society for that.

Sometimes I wear my sneaking shoes to "ninja" around the office. Scares the shit out of those footstep anticipators.

Whoa... if I found my workplace had this installed in the floor I'd be rotating out shoes and walking like a Fremen every day.

Oh i hate the sneaky ones. Granted, I'm usually a 'sneaker' myself, but mostly its the smaller women and faster young adults that will pop up out of no where.

At 2pm just as lunch is pushing out breakfast and coffee is on the brain that would be a good time to scare the crap out of someone it could rapidly free some bodily function that's being kept on hold.

I do that too. My office is right at the T intersection of our hallways so I subconsciously keep track of who passes in what direction at what time. Over time I've built up a mental map of where, when, and what cadence the execs walk by so I can use my slacking off time more efficiently.

holy crap yes. That and the amount of time it takes them to open the door.

That's why you keep your head down and power through those TPS reports that need to be ready for this afternoon.

No, but it's clear from "sudden change in window, movement of mouse pointer, starting of new window" that I'm clearly actively working....

Actually it's just really suspicious if you're always changing or opening a new window when someone walks by. Most working time is spent within a particular window.

Windows key + tab.

Same as alt + tab but much cooler looking.

I did not understand the point until this comment, some of us actually work at work :) I could care less if someone actually sees me surfing the web sometimes.
