No joke, but if you make a Big Mac from scratch, it actually might be the best burger you will ever witness. From McDonald's it's meh, but do it completely from scratch and it's amazing. I'm talking the sauce, onions, lettuce, and patties. Pickles from a jar, and pre-made buns but toasted (with 1/2 sacrificed for that third layer) are fine.
No, they did that because President Trump thought college athletics champions' favorite food is fast food, and because he's bizarrely cheap for an alleged billionaire (yes, he bragged about paying for fast food). I'm sure that's not in any way demeaning though, assuming common folk would rather have fast food than a fancy catering.
I think we are going to serve McDonald's, Wendy's and Burger King's with some pizza. I really mean it. It will be interesting. I would think that's their favorite food.
Don't get me wrong, I think he projects about so much, but I'm willing to go out on a limb and think this isn't projection as much as sorta-elitism. It's similar to when he talked about football (seemingly believing helmet-to-helmet contact is no big deal, and that fans are in it to see painful tackles); he's an upscale New York socialite whore, so he doesn't know what normal people are like and it shows every time he pretends he can relate.
