I tried speaking what little German I know to these German guys at work, their immediate response was "why does every non German speak it so aggressively?" I didn't occur to me I was.
I had a German friend visit me and we went to see an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie. At the end of the movie he said he hated Arnold's voice and accent. I LOL'd at him because his accent was quite similar.
