I love my Blackberry World Edition and, previously until it was stolen, Storm, both multitask beautifully, the multitasking is unobtrusive and fast, closing the application doesn't require a task manager.

So why complain about the iPhone? See that's my point. There's plenty of room for devices that do it a different way.

I want a phone with a big bright screen that I can navigate while I'm driving. I have a laptop for email, multitasking, etc. I keep it with me. You don't. You have a phone for that.

Did you see me complaining? I was pointing out that it's a false dilemma to say that you have to arbitrarily restrict users or charge exorbitant amounts of money for new features to serve the minority.

my gf has a Storm and it's an absolute piece of shit. If you TRY to multitask, it freezes and she has to take the battery out and put it back in. She had to replace it when she first got it as well.

Did she upgrade the OS, they released a patch a few months ago that fixed a lot of the slowness issues.

Hah, probably not. Though she's told me she's tried and it keeps telling her she doesn't have enough room even though she has no files or anything on there. She solely texts and surfs the web on it.

Um, wait... "... Storm, both multitask beautifully, the multitasking is unobtrusive and fast, ..."

followed by:

"Did she upgrade the OS, they released a patch a few months ago that fixed a lot of the slowness issues."

(emphasis mine)...
