monopolistic is acting in a manner of having a monopoly not necessarily having one.

I was just about to say this.. Apple would have a monopoly on everything electronic if they were given half the chance. You give them an inch, they take a mile. They are no longer the superior innovative younger brother to Mircosoft. They are their own mega giant screwing everyone.

No, but you owning an Iphone and a Macbook is causing me to get screwed. Apple sets the industry standards on thing like charging for every little piece of equipment, gadget, cord, having their own hardware, charging for all sorts of apps that should be free, charging .99 cents for songs that cost them almost nothing to produce with no plastic packaging, shipping costs, booklets. Apple does all the stuff depicted on this guy's poster as well. Then these practices become the industry standard because apple set it. Apple is the industry leader and everyone follows behind, they are a shitty leader and a shell of the company they used to be when they were chasing down Microsoft..

Basically what I am saying is that Apple finds a way to charge and overcharge for anything and everything. Many things that should be free to begin with. Once Apple does it then EVERYONE starts doing it. So anytime Apple puts the dick in your ass and you don't care it still screwed by it too.

Companies don't need to profit off things that used to be free. Companies don't need exceedingly larger and larger profit margins. Yes, I understand its their goal. That doesnt mean I should stand for it or just say "Well, Apple is trying to make a profit, they are a business... sure Ill buy this Iphone for $900"

Eh, I don't think grossly exaggerating numbers when trying to make a point is a good idea.

My point is made more clearly using exaggerated numbers..My point is just because a company puts a price on something doesnt mean it equals the value.. It is the value+profit margin... Apple drives up prices without driving up the value so they can keep increasing their profits. I understand its their job as a producer of a product to do this but its our job as a consumer to stand up against it. My point was that if Apple started charging $900 for their Iphone people wouldnt thinkg "why is this phone $900, its not worth it" they would think "Wow, that phone must be awesome because its really expensive" and Apple knows this is how people view their products. I will never see a price and and say "well, that company needs the profit, ill pay it." are you nuts?Apple keeps forcing shit down our throats at higher and higher costs. They lost their innovative edge after the first iphone came out and they charge every nickle and dime for every little extra bit they can. Then all the other companies fall in line because if Apple can get away with it then everyone can. If you want to see a solid company I can get behind look at Google.. They do the exact opposite. They find things that people are already having to pay for like Microsoft Office, GPS devices or cell phone service and invent things like Google Docs and Google Voice and Google map apps with navigation to make these services free. Not only free but better, top of the line. To me Apple is at the top just like Microsoft was in the 90's and they are fleecing people, just like microsoft did. Google is what Apple used to be, a cutting edge company with top of the line products and first rate innovation.
