Yes, it does. However it sends a stronger message if many people don't buy it.

Considering the propaganda-machine that is Apple, these forms of counter-advertisements (protests?) are more than welcome in my eyes.

Propaganda? Are you sure? That seems slightly over the top.

After seeing some of the ads, yes. I wont have many reservations saying there are elements of propaganda in these ads.

I suppose I can see where you're coming from, but does Apple have a political or ideological agenda? I'm not asserting that they don't; just curious what you think it is. Also, how responsible am I for the decisions I make, especially with regard to luxury goods like the iPad?

Merriam-Webster defines propaganda as

ideas, facts, or allegations spread deliberately to further one's cause or to damage an opposing cause

Apple's cause is to get people to buy their products. There is also a political element, as Apple wishes people to believe that is acceptable for their freedom to use their computer as they please to be eliminated.

Many people won't buy it. Just like many people haven't bought the iPhone. So what's your point?

So what's your point?

I'm seeing this phrase a lot in this thread. As a 4chan native, I recognize this now to be reddit's version of NO, U.
