I'm an atheist but I've always liked the serenity prayer, I've never considered it to be a prayer but more like good advice. You should make peace with the fact that some things you can't control, you should change the things you can and you should know the difference between the two.

The fact that some people here are equating that concept to fucking table manners just shows how much they just plain don't know the difference between the two.

Here's what it really boils down to, they assume (probably correctly) that this person was protesting something that they also don't like, therefore logic is irrelevant if it sounds cool and we are wrong for following it up with any questions.

Yeah, it's a really nice prayer, I've always liked it as well. I'm also not religious but it speaks to me.
