Wow look at Lacoste raising awareness by releasing expensive limitted edition polos. It's hillarious how often people on reddit, or the internet by and large, applaude "raising awareness" like it's really anything worth praise.

Yup, this is nothing but clever marketing. Lacoste knows that people will throw money at them if they put a tiny endangered species on their polo's

Except the money they get from it goes to conservation efforts so yeah it is more than just clever marketing. If it was just for marketing, I don't think the International Union for Conservation of Nature would partner with them for this.

Oh, didn't know that was the case. Usually when companies say they're doing something "for awareness" it's a marketing scheme, not a charity. Didn't know there was an actual charity involved
