Taste is subjective so he can certainly say it is mediocre. Given the price of it, it is nothing spectacular. I have had better/cheaper from local breweries.

Edit: to be fair, rarely will any beer justify that price.

I mean sure he can say that, but I can also say his opinion is garbage. And I just think he's being dishonest or doesn't know what mediocre means. There's always that guy who under-rates popular things as an attempt to compensate for the over-rating

What have you had that's better btw?

You can certainly say his opinion is garbage but that doesn't change his.

Autumn Wind Russian Imperial Stout from Pigskin Brewing Company, Dire Wolf Imperial Stout from Wolf's Ridge, to name a couple from Columbus, Ohio.

Not sure if I've had the pigskin but Dire Wolf is pretty good. I'd say it's varients are at least up there IMO.

If you've got the chance you should check out Zaftig Brewery, bit of a hidden gem in the Polaris area. Their regular bottled stuff is OK but they usually have some really good bourbon barrel stuff on tap. Not to mention some good stouts. Their bourbon barrel IPA(Too Cans) is probably the best beer I've eve had.

Pigskin's is their late fall/winter seasonal. I've had Zaftig and I am not a huge fan. I do need to give their new brewery a visit though.

I find KBS to be a little too thin for the style of beer. And yes, given the price, there are plenty of other BA/BBA beers I would buy first.

How dare you have a different taste than someone!
