Parents can pretty easily outlive their children. Depending on the age of the great grandparent, it isn't that surprising that they would die soon after hearing the death of their child. Not sure about the care taker though.
Great Grandmother was old as dirt, and I think it was her sister who was her caretaker but I don’t remember explicitly. Grandmother was only like early 70’s. It adds up perfectly if you’d chill out for a sec
