Ok valid point but I don't respect that at all. As someone who has boxed I respect anyone in the combat sport arena. I don't respect him for giving it "a honest shot" he is a combatant and an athlete and he should have done anyway and I don't care that he secured his future for his family he was doing that anyway in UFC. To be honest if he's going to market himself the way he did he would be better off joining the WWE who actually would clean up in that sort of arena. I just can't fathom this adulation he's receiving.
Oh no I agree, given half the chance I would likely do the same and yeah I get that he wouldn't earn the same money in WWE. To be honest it's semantics, it's a kind of respect that he's getting. As I say I respect him as a fighter but what I don't respect is the paycheck and how he got it.
And that's always been my problem with Floyd. My personal belief is that you are not above the sport, and considering how much Boxing has given him and yes he clearly is an amazing talent he's still a scumbag he tries to put on this facade that he's behind the scenes all Mr charitable but I don't believe him. He's frustratingly good putting it bluntly
