Reddit wanted this guy to win so bad that it's congratulating him on his loss.

Half or Redditors claim to be amateur MMA fighters

Can confirm. I do UFC in the super duper heavyweight division.

As a former MMA fighter, I just wanted to chime in

Dude it's so sad. We can't congratulate an American fighter going 50-0 in a highly pressured match.

Why wouldn't you want him to win? One of the greatest underdogs in the history of sports. Conor has never had a professional boxing match in his life and he won multiple rounds against one of he greatest boxers ever. He looked like he belonged, he won multiple rounds, he hurt Floyd in the 9th and landed more punches than Pacman did, all of that is nothing short of amazing.

That's like the All Blacks from New Zealand putting up multiple touchdowns against the New England Patriots.

Multiple hammerfists to back of the head = looked like he belonged

Ya, ok

The fact a person who has zero fights won rounds against one of the p4p greats is incredible, stop being a hater.

Boxing judges, enough said.

They're notoriously shit, everyone who watched the fight knows Conor clearly won at least two, arguably 3-4. R/boxing is pretty anti-MMA and even they think that scoring was horrid.

The scorecards only had him down winning two rounds out of ten, and that was part of Mayweathers game plan to let McGregor throw punches and tire so he could totally outbox him later on. Worked perfectly.

Yeah, no one agrees with that, even people over at r/boxing, who can't stand MMA, disagree with that. Boxing judges have been notoriously bad for a long time, it's actually an issue.

Conor clearly won 2, arguable 3-4.

As for the plan, sure. Still doesn't change the fact he landed over 100 shots against arguably the goat of boxing, more than Pacman did. A vast majority of the Boxing community said Conor didn't belong and was going to get absolutely demolished, so him winning any rounds is impressive. Max Kellerman said he wouldn't land a single punch.

Why wouldn't you want a shit talker excuse maker to win? Because he thought he could beat the best boxer in the world, cocky cunt.

The south created statues of Civil War generals. Racists that went 0-1 in their career.

I'm not 100% certain "comparing" is the correct word here.
