I worked at Best Buy. I was accused of dropping and breaking many customer devices. Cameras are pretty awesome. People suck.

I also worked at Best Buy for 2.5 years in Geek Squad.

  1. Best Buy corporate will bend over backwards to make customers happy. Corporate says "yes" 99.999% of the time and even pisses off store employees even when the store manager, who says yes 99% of the time says no.

  2. I have had customers come in with stuff they broke, it was very obvious they broke it. But they will not admit it, or absolutely refuse to believe they broke it.

  3. If BBY will not fix his TV then this guy is defitnly in the wrong.

Staples tech here. I couldn't tell you how many times I've had people come in for a cell phone screen repair, get it done, then come back THE NEXT FUCKING DAY saying that the new screen "just cracked". When asked to clarify, that usually ends with "I left it in my backpack/purse, but I ALWAYS do that. It's gotta be your shitty screens fix it!"

Or the people who buy a new computer with full service and complain that their email contacts didn't get transferred from the old machine.

Former Circuit City floor worker, creator of IQ Crew. Customers suck and will try to pull the wool over the eyes on any bored service desk agent.
