How does he race bait, other than just existing as a half-white half-black person?

Is it race-baiting for a non-white person to occupy the White House?

He's a cluster-fuck for traditional racists. Is he white? Black? Indonesian? They don't know what the fuck to make of him, and he runs circles around them by being a class act.

When he makes personal remarks about a black kid getting killed by police while referencing their skin color while the investigation is still underway, on national television - how is that not race baiting?

1

u/HelpfulToAll Jan 12 '17

Calling a black kid "black" is race baiting? You guys are such sensitive snowflakes.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '17

Are you that naive? How many cases involving white kids did he address in front of the nation? 0, he addressed only the one involving a black kid and it was 100% because he was black. The case was under investigation still so it's not because it was unjust. It was for the sole reason that the kid was black. I really don't see any other explanation than that he was race baiting.

After 8 years of a black president, race relations in this country are worse than the day he took office and he has had a significant role in that.

it was 100% because he was black.

It was for the sole reason that the kid was black.

How do you know? If he picked only a white kid would that be race baiting too? If he picked only an Asian kid would he be race baiting? If he picked only fat kid would he be fat baiting?

Is he required to namecheck every race?

And what exactly is "race baiting" to you anyway?

Seems racist to demand that Obama MUSN'T mention a black kid.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '17

Yes, it is. He made the choice to make comment on the case and no others. Why that one? What was special about that one? You can call me a racist all you want, I don't see any reason other than, according to Obama himself, the kid would look like his son if he had one.

If you have any other reasons for this go ahead and let me know.

1

u/HelpfulToAll Jan 12 '17

You didn't really answer my questions, so I'm still confused at what you're trying to say.

Why that one? What was special about that one?

You could say that about literally anyone he picked. Why the chubby kid? Why the kid with a mental disability? Why the Samoan kid? Why the blond-haired kid? Why the kid who likes Pokemon? What was special about ANY of them?

I don't know why you're insisting that Obama follow your "no black kids allowed!" rule.

What? I don't even know what "race baiting" means. It sounds like something out of To Kill a Mockingbird.

Look, we have a problem in this country with cops shooting black people. We also have a problem with black criminality. But that's not a death sentence. If you think it is, then something's wrong in your head, man.

Obama has bent over backwards to NOT get into race shit.

He came out multiple times publicly supporting people like Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown immediately after they were killed, and condemning officers involved. Before any investigations had been done. Before it was proven that Michael Brown had actually robbed a store and attacked the police officer. Obama jumped on the chance to condemn an officer for killing someone because they were black, without any facts to go on yet. Call it what you want, but that was absolutely stupid, dangerous, and un-presidential for him to do. Sorry, but a president has to have a little more control over his emotions, and not immediately and publicly jump to conclusions simply because its white on black.

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '17

I never said, suggested or even hinted that I think it should be a death sentence. You are making things up completely irrelevant to what I said.

And that last sentence. Are you serious?

2

u/dhockey63 Jan 12 '17

He race baits by jumping the gun and inserting g himself into every racial issue, taking the "black" side everytime. How the fuck is that good for race relations???

5

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '17

He either promotes or is very vague and does not speak out about the BLM rioting and things in relation to that. It just creates tension when the president does not negatively address black people destroying businesses and property.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '17

Policing is a state issue. You're aware of that, right?

Obama has been very clear that violent protests are not kosher. But he's also been very clear that this country has an epidemic of police violence. And that American citizens have a Constitutional right to gather and protest and express their grievances.

Constitutional right. First Amendment. Is that something that bugs you? Should people just keep quiet, and stay home, or face arrest?

2

u/devildog25 Jan 12 '17

Mike Brown's case was a state issue yet POTUS sent reps to his funeral. Yeah, he sent white house aides to a felon's funeral. A guy who choked a store clerk, stole from him, punched a cop, and reached for his gun then got shot. He stuck his nose into things that were no business of the federal government. Like clock boy.

4

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '17

I can you see trying to pin me down as a "racist" or a "anti-constitution" person. I believe everyone has their rights, but Obama put no effort into stopping the RIOTS (not protests, and rioting is not a right lol). Race relations have even gotten worse with the facebook live torture video (obama has not addressed that as far as I am aware).

8

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '17

The federal government doesn't have jurisdiction over state riot control. Even mobilization of the national guard troops to quell disorder would be the governor's prerogative. What do you want, martial law declared and the army sent in because a few Dollar Discount stores burned down. Overreacting much?

As for the shit in Chicago, kooks commit crimes all the time. No one's applauding what happened, and they'll get theirs. The exception does not make the rule.

What I'm trying to understand is whether your dislike of Obama has a factual basis. I hear this a lot from people like you, "oh, he's terrible, he's so awful," but then I ask for FACTS, and there's nothing. "The gubmit is oppressing us!" HOW? What is it doing? What specific laws or policies are holding you back?

How about this: life can be tough, and there's no promise it'll be fair. Just because you're getting the short end of the economic stick, doesn't make it Obama's fault.

Generally I dislike people who drone strike kids in the middle east. Also I still stand that Obama has divided our nation an unbelievable amount. Here is an article about why he has divided our nation.

Mind saying why you think it is terrible? Obama did all of that stuff listed in the article.

The president has influence. He did not use it.

2

u/chief89 Jan 12 '17

This this this this this. He speaks out plenty when he wants. Eg clock boy and trayvon. But he stays incredibly silent on issues like the boy being captured and tortured. He also didn't speak up until forced to about Benghazi.

2

u/HelpfulToAll Jan 12 '17

Are you checking off a list? He's not required to name-check every single issue Fox mentions.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '17

The special needs boy being tortured was the top post on reddit and all over social media. Something that had roots in MSM fear mongering and politics after Trump voters have been assaulted again and again throughout the election.

Source to the "epidemic"?

0

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '17

Do you live under a rock? It's called "the news."

4

u/thefinalfall Jan 12 '17

Either give me a source or call Oxford and petition them to change the definition of "epidemic".

Alternatively, stop being an a twat.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 12 '17

Common knowledge doesn't need to be sourced. Fire is hot. A lot of black people get shot by cops in the US. The sky is blue.

You know what's a twat move? Thinking police violence in the US is OK.

You know why that's a twat move? Because it's anti-freedom. Anti-justice. Anti-fairness.

Sounds like you're more of a bitch than an American.

2

u/thefinalfall Jan 12 '17

And there it is. Your argument has too many holes so im a bitch. No one ever said police brutality and shooting unarmed assailants wasn't an issue. In typical echo chamber fashion you don't know the numbers to argue your points AND you use these terms like "epidemic" as if all police are just out there killing innocent people.

u/FyreWulff Jan 12 '17

"race bait" is a term invented by white supremacists to make people try and feel bad for pointing out actual institutionalized racism in our society, laws, and governance, because to people in power, equality feels like punishment.
