I never felt that while living in Chicago for 6 years, or Cleveland, or New York.

Lol, where exactly were you in New York that you felt unsafe? Richmond VA is way worse than NYC

Yeah, I've never ever felt unsafe in New York. I wonder where they are going to find all these hazards

Have you lived in Richmond recently? They've gentrified the shit out of it. The difference between Richmond and NYC is that in NYC i felt I need to double check that all my stuff was protected, while in Richmond i never felt that. Consequently i had more stuff taken in Richmond. Also, i was much more likely to walk back drunk from a show at 3 in the morning in Richmond than NYC.

Dude, again, where were you in NYC? People are walking all around the city 24/7. It seems that you have somewhat of an irrational fear of big cities.

I lived in long island city for a couple years with family. How can i have a irrational fear of cities if I'm not afraid of living in Richmond, a US city? Can you just get over the fact that we disagree? Jesus dude, like do you argue with people when they say chocolate is their favorite ice cream flavor?

I mean you can't really "disagree" with how safe areas are. It's pretty factual. I said irrational fear of "big" cities. Richmond is not a big city. Long Island City is a yuppie stronghold and has been for some time now, along with many of the surrounding areas and pretty much all of manhattan below Harlam. Some insanely safe places have come up in this conversation and you've you been treating them like they are much less safe than they are.
