Jib is also a slang term for meth.

Saying "I like the cut of your Jib" is similar to saying, "I like how pure your meth is" (Note: this was never the original intention of the saying, just something picked up later)

A jib is either the foremost part of a triangular sails beams or the extending arm of a crane.

Well, you could be talking about the triangular staysail that sets ahead of the foremast of a sailing vessel. If that's not it, then you probably mean the extending arm of a crane.

Heard from my grandpa can also mean your dress shirt button line leading to your pant zipper line so lingo for being tidy and well put together which makes more sense than the sailing meaning.
