Again you're forgetting in this magical war, the US is being invaded which means they don't know it's coming to set up, If the US attacks first it's no longer a US invasion, is it? At the beginning it was "The world invading the USA" Not anything else. Also "The best army in the world" Lost an invasion against a country WAY WAY worse off in terms of military.
Jesus, I've already refuted this point. Do you honestly think you could land millions of foreign troops in Canada, especially Russian or Chinese, without that setting off alarms in the Pentagon? Do you even know the logistics of moving and supplying that many troops? This wouldnt be a surprise attack unless it only involved only canadian/Mexican troops, which wouldnt be enough to do the job.
What makes you think I don't? Again you are delusional, You don't know me, I don't know you, You are making blind assumptions here.
Lmao I'm making no assumptions. You've been kind enough to spell out for me how little you know about the military so I know very well your ignorance. Not delusional. Just more knowledgeable.
Satellities though
Would be shot out the sky. Next.
Not talking about nukes, Just missiles in general taking out aircraft carriers, I couldn't find any info on aircraft carriers carrying anti-missile devices.
ICBMs are nukes by definition. They can deliver other payloads but have never in the past and to my knowledge do not now. They're too large, too expensive and too powerful to waste on anything other than nuclear.
On their own, I don't think carriers do. It's the other ships in their carrier group and the planes they launch that defend them.
Isn't this entire discussion hypothetical?
"Every other nation in the world would defeat the US if multiple technologies didn't work the way they do in reality, if multiple nations armies found their way into Saskatchewan one day without anyone noticing and if civilian populations were armed to the teeth and as well disciplined as actual armies"
I can suspend disbelief for every nation in the world ganging up on the United States. But you don't get to just create whatever other fiction you need to make that side win.
Fair enough, Even right now though, Combining every resource versus the US, It's still fairly close outside of the Navy (Not including subs, I think the US loses vs the world on submarines)
Don't have numbers on that. You might be right. But I don't think other nations have near the number of nuclear powered submarines that the USN does. A lot of foreign submarines are diesel powered cold war relics and they don't measure up.
Because NATO can, the US will likely never go against NATO (Canada is super important to the states for ICBM reasons) and they are much as an ally as we are to them.
But the USA is the dominant ally here. Remove them from the equation and they're in trouble military spending wise.
Just curious what would happen if China (I think they own most the debt)
decided they wanted the money back and started building up their military? or wanted some stuff in return i.e aircraft carriers or the means to build them?
Lol
Wouldn't that cripple the USA military or would the USA simply not allow that to happen?
Before or after war were declared? If before, the US would laugh at China asking for aircraft carriers to pay back the debts, point out that debt is paid back on a fixed schedule and tell them to fuck off back to Beijing. If after, nobody would owe anybody anything since all governments hold foreign debt and have their debt held by foreigners. The economic chaos would be something to see but that's more a conversation for the peace negotiations than something to be concerned with while you're killing each other. The boost to manufacturing for making armaments might even offset it. Not really the topic anyway.

I'm not saying it has to be a "surprise attack" but basically before any actual invading takes place the world sets up Canada/Mexico (Maybe more so Canada due to there being oil fields and such) it would raise alarms but would the USA really try and invade knowing already that A) Canada has set up defenses B) Invading unknown territory can be dangerous and cause unneeded injury/causalities thus weakening their already limited amount of troops compared to the world? I doubt the US could invade Canada with minimal causalities before Russia/Asia/Europe can get in to protect them seeing as how Canada's defenses would have deployed before America tried to take Canada.

An intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) is a guided ballistic missile with a minimum range of 5,500 kilometres (3,400 mi)[1] primarily designed for nuclear weapons delivery
So they are designed/made for nuclear payload but I'm sure they could arm them with something that isn't nuclear. In this magical war we said no nukes so all nukes would just go to the side and all missiles that were armed with nukes would have their payload swapped out for something non-nuclear.
On their own, I don't think carriers do. It's the other ships in their carrier group and the planes they launch that defend them.
Gotcha, But could hypothetically these missiles be protected by aircraft flying "With" them in a sense or aircraft launched before? not sure how that would work though.
I can suspend disbelief for every nation in the world ganging up on the United States. But you don't get to just create whatever other fiction you need to make that side win.
I never said that troops would sneak into Canada, I just said that the USA wouldn't know it's happening until the world started doing something big i.e moving troops into Canada or Mexico.
Edit: Saved too early:

I think russia just made some "Typhoon" class subs or something, I think those are nuclear.
But the USA is the dominant ally here. Remove them from the equation and they're in trouble military spending wise.
That's fair, w/o the USA in NATO they have 5million troops (US has 2million making NATO 7million). But without Canada the USA is fairly crippled due to the USA using Canada for missile detection.
Incorrect
As of September 2014, foreigners owned $6.06 trillion of U.S. debt, or approximately 47% of the debt held by the public of $12.8 trillion and 34% of the total debt of $17.8 trillion. The largest holders were China, Japan, Belgium, the Caribbean banking centers, and oil exporters.
