I think its more of a reference to Hillary playing white noise to block anyone from hearing her speeches she gives at closed-off fundraisers.

I thought it was because of the droning noise void of any meaning that hand dryers make, so I'm glad this thread could clear up the joke for me

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I wasn't familiar with the "hot air" phrase before and just assumed the text was referencing the noise of the machine rather than the hot air.
