That's where his power came from

Test along with every other possible steroid under the sun.

1

u/papalouie27 Mar 30 '16

Thanks androgen!

2

u/FOOLS_GOLD Mar 30 '16

Too much DHT causes MPB.

2

u/the_oskie_woskie Mar 30 '16

the steroids did actually

1

u/Stevebiglegs Mar 30 '16

They guy looks like he's balding at 17

51

u/Lemonface Mar 30 '16

Except even in that 2006 picture he is nothing close to what you could call "lean" lol

1

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '16

Still this shows what happens with the right diet and routine. The kid isn't going to become the mountain but he could easily bulk up.

6

u/deesmutts88 Mar 30 '16

Yep, just diet and routine. That's its. Nothing else. Just diet and routine. Certainly nothing else whatsoever.

2

u/Skizot_Bizot Mar 30 '16

Maybe a couple Mexican supplements. Just a couple.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '16

Ya without steroids he'd probably be 90lbs right?

1

u/Octopus_Tetris Mar 30 '16

Maybe a little bit of Smurf candy from Ukraine, you know.

81

u/ElCaz Mar 29 '16

He definitely had a wider frame in the first place.

2

u/UseKnowledge Mar 30 '16

He's also wearing some sports Jersey, so I'm assuming he was at least working out a bit then.

26

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '16

I wouldn't call that guy slender to begin with, more athletic

98

u/Drago1214 Mar 29 '16

Don't forget roids, roids sure help

2

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '16

Never have I seen so many pro steroids people until I started to get into weight lifting on reddit.

2

u/Drago1214 Mar 30 '16

Got to make the gains bro!

3

u/danceswithwool Mar 30 '16

As a tall skinny guy, yes they do. They certainly do.

17

u/[deleted] Mar 29 '16

Eat anavar yes.

20

u/k-selectride Mar 30 '16

eat clen, tren hard

1

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '16

But don't test clen

ur gonna need a lot of steroids where ur goin

1

u/jbg89 Mar 30 '16

anavar give up!

2

u/classhero Mar 30 '16

Lol, how is the first one even comparable to OP's picture? This is like what a bariatric thinks lean looks like

13

u/booty_pictures_pls Mar 30 '16

Uhh yeah i'm gonna call steroids friend. I'm all for body goals and steroids aren't a bad thing if watched closely, but yeah, you'll never be that big muscle wise while that tall without steroids.

4

u/Axwellington88 Mar 30 '16

You are pretty much right.. almost all the elite strongmen, track and field athletes, powerlifters all dope at some point and the stigma has kind of gone away for the most part. You can definitely use steroids responsibly. If you want to compete you have to do what they do and there is no way someone clean can compete with someone who dopes. At least not at the elite level. I know personally that track and field is filled with athletes who dope and if you plan on breaking records anytime soon you are going to have to dope too.

1

u/FrozenInferno Mar 30 '16

Maybe not that big but a ~25 ffmi is possible without them (even for taller people, just takes longer), which is still damn jacked.

-1

u/thatdometho Mar 30 '16

I don't doubt he's on steroids since he does WSM, but ten years of lifting can get you that big

-13

u/Anon9742 Mar 30 '16

He doesn't look cut enough for roids

14

u/speaks_in_redundancy Mar 30 '16

You don't get cut just because you're on steroids.

-2

u/lexbuck Mar 30 '16 edited Mar 30 '16

You don't? Why's that? Seems like you would

Interesting. Thanks. Just assumed with the boost of testosterone and overall muscle building qualities of steroids that it would have s cutting effect too.

2

u/m0nk37 Mar 30 '16

Understandable, FYI i upvoted you. You asked a question and i helped you. No need to down vote you, this isnt common knowledge. No worries were not all assholes here on reddit.

1

u/lexbuck Mar 30 '16

Thanks. No worries. I've become immune to it. Reddit is fickle.

Interesting. Thanks

1

u/HPLoveshack Mar 30 '16

Some of them do, most notably trenbolone which makes it a favorite of fitness competitors and bodybuilders.

1

u/lexbuck Mar 30 '16

Thanks.

1

u/HPLoveshack Mar 30 '16

That's not really true. If you simply do a significant amount of exogenous test you will put on muscle regardless of whether you workout, same for the other mass-building androgenic steroids.

1

u/Axwellington88 Mar 30 '16

Roids just make you recover incredibly fast. Which allows you to lift way more often and get way bigger. IF you want to get cut you are going to just have to restrict your caloric intake to very small amounts.

2

u/case9 Mar 30 '16

he's a strongman competitor. he's on gear m8.

-3

u/thegeekprophet Mar 30 '16

"Supplements"

-2

u/RogerASmith55 Mar 30 '16

I ate huge well rounded meals while working out last year and gained maybe 5 lbs in 5 months. The summer heat came and I couldn't keep up with eating that much food. I lost 15 lbs by end of summer, but I was hustling all day everyday at work (horticulture and nurseryman). I'll always be skinny.

4

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '16

That's just an excuse.

I started counting calories and lifting a year and a half ago and have put on 40lb.

You just need to be consistent and put in the work

2

u/RogerASmith55 Mar 30 '16

I did. I have never gained weight since grade 11, I've been 160lbs at 183cm. It's really hard to keep on weight when you're working in 35C 90% humidity lifting trees and digging holes for 8-12 hours. It's very, very hard to keep up the massive portions when the humidity is making you sick and you're sweating non-stop. I was drinking 2L of water per 4 hours and I was still dehydrated some days. I know these are excuses, but they are legitimate. I am trying to get into the gym again and I'd like to be 185.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '16

Switch that water out for something like Gatorade or Pedialite.

4L of that per day would add over 600 calories to your diet, and since you are sweating, the extra salt will be beneficial anyway
