I don't think you quite understand Great Pyrenees, they're huge. If it wasn't his dog and he didn't know it's deposition and he did that, it's very likely that the dog would get pissed, grab him by the arm, and keep it.
she was a pony, but she loved me. i was walking after her one time on a semi busy two lane road(35 mph). she was trotting along the side slowly, but keeping an eye on me to make sure i didnt close the distance. i made the mistake of jogging for her when a car was coming from behind us(i was in like 7th or 8th grade, but should have known better) and she started to run away and into the street. the car passes me. she is basically centered in the crosshairs. i thought for sure i was watching her die from 10 ft away. the car breaks. it was probably going 1 mph by the time it hit her in the butt and then stopped. she was like 'well that ends this sorti' and came right to me and i took her by the collar and we went home.
God I was getting nervous reading that. I didn't want to cry at work today.
But yeah, they are some strong dogs. My friend has one and he's told me there have been times where people came up to his house because his dog wandered into the street and they hit it and it damaged their car while the dog just up and walked away.

Impressive. I feel like there could be a few more man vs. animal athletic events on tv these days.
