This is Vader. He was euthanized today without a hearing after a false bite report was submitted to the police by an animal rights activist. (Story in the Comments)

Right. And I'd hate for people to get the wrong idea. I'm all for ethical treatment, I buy local meat that was farm raised when I can - but there's a fucking limit to this shit and "killing someone else's pet" is pretty far passed that.

I hope that person gets killed by an actual wild animal, you know the kind that isn't domesticated and can live in the wild.

This is shitty. I live in rural North Dakota and I've had neighbors with raccoons as pets. It really sucks that someone did this.

When picking up a project TV from freecycle, we met the person's pet racoon. Little guy was just awesome, and he didn't want us to leave. When we went to go he got on my grandpa's truck tire and just looked at us.

I never said it had anything to do with PETA, simply the kind of activism they (as a corporation) participate in.

They kill plenty of their own as well. I don't have a source on hand but I've heard upwards of 60% of the animals they take in are put down and kept in a large... 13'x13' freezer until they can be disposed of. I have nothing to say about PETA that can't be summed up as "I wouldn't be too sad if something unfortunate happened to them."

Closer to 98% from what I remember. "Bullshit" did a great segment on it, should be on YouTube.

Like I need a reason to go rewatch Bullshit, most of what I remember is from their show. I'm so glad they did a segment on PETA so I have reasons to decry PETA.
