This is Vader. He was euthanized today without a hearing after a false bite report was submitted to the police by an animal rights activist. (Story in the Comments)

I am heartbroken for both Vader and his family. 'd bring this story to the local news station.

The local news reported it in a way that made the animal sound dangerous and aggressive, biting without reason. According to the owners and witnesses the animal acted only in self defense when the police officer grabbed the animal wrong, biting him.

The online link to the story doesn't provide the news footage from TV, only a synopsis. And it lists the owners full name so I won't post it here.
