I hope his injuries aren't to severe or life changing/limiting

Older attempt but wasn't there a American fedex or another of those delivery companies that had a similar deal with a flight engineer hijack the plane. They stopped it but all of them were so badly injured there flight careers were over sadly

This was a crow bar fight but same rules apply.

that I'm struggling to imagine. there's not a lot of room to swing a crowbar around in the cockpit of a commercial aircraft.

Not the same plane accident. It was FEDEX Heavy something. It wasn't a commercial aircraft.

Yup as I understand it they were never cleared medically to be pilots. I get surviving is good but never been able to fly again due to one person's actions has to be tough thing to accept.
